  • This tank is specifically designed for Reverse Osmosis (RO) storage applications. Do not use it for purposes other than its intended design.
  • Warning: Do not use the tank if it appears corroded. Corrosion can compromise the tank's integrity and lead to leaks or failure.
  • Inspect and sanitize the tank regularly by qualified service personnel to maintain water quality and system performance.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before operating the system.
  • Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of 100 psi (6.9 bar) or the working temperature range of 4°C to 60°C (40°F to 140°F).

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Neo-Pure RO storage tank:

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the tank and accessories for any signs of damage or corrosion. Do not proceed with installation if damage is found.
  2. Position the Tank: Place the plastic tank stand on a flat, stable surface under your sink or in the designated area for your RO system. Position the tank securely on the stand.
  3. Connect the Shut-off Valve: Apply thread sealant (Teflon tape) to the male threads of the tank's water connection port. Screw the included tank shut-off valve onto the tank's water connection port. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.
  4. Connect to RO System: Connect the 3/8" Quick-Connect end of the shut-off valve to the appropriate tubing from your Reverse Osmosis system. Ensure the connection is secure and the tubing is fully inserted into the quick-connect fitting.
  5. Initial Flushing: Before connecting to your faucet, open the shut-off valve and allow the tank to fill and drain completely at least two to three times. This flushes out any manufacturing residues and ensures the virgin polypropylene liner provides tasteless, odorless water.
  6. Check for Leaks: After initial flushing and connecting to your RO system, slowly turn on the water supply to the RO system and check all connections for leaks. Tighten any leaking connections as necessary.

5. Operating Instructions

The Neo-Pure RO storage tank operates in conjunction with your Reverse Osmosis system to provide on-demand purified water.

  • When the RO system produces water, it flows into the storage tank, compressing the air bladder inside.
  • When you open your RO faucet, the compressed air pushes the stored purified water out of the tank and through the faucet.
  • The tank's advanced chlorobutyl diaphragm and virgin polypropylene liner ensure that the stored water remains pure and free from contaminants, maintaining its taste and odor.
  • The included tank shut-off valve allows you to control the flow of water to and from the tank, which is essential for system service or maintenance.

6. Maintenance

While the Neo-Pure RO storage tank is designed for low maintenance, regular checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Air Precharge: The ROT tanks are built with a sealed brass air valve and O-ring sealed cap, ensuring a leak-free air chamber. This design means there is no need for routine checking of the air precharge.
  • Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the exterior of the tank for any signs of corrosion, dents, or other physical damage. If corrosion is observed, the tank should be replaced by qualified service personnel.
  • Sanitization: It is recommended to sanitize your entire RO system, including the storage tank, annually or as recommended by your RO system manufacturer. This helps prevent bacterial growth and maintains water quality.
  • Leak Checks: Regularly check all connections for any signs of leaks. Address any leaks promptly to prevent water damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Neo-Pure RO storage tank, consider the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Low water pressure from RO faucetTank not fully pressurized (unlikely for Neo-Pure due to sealed air valve), or RO system issue.Ensure the tank shut-off valve is fully open. Check the RO system's membrane and filters for clogging. If the tank is old and suspected to be faulty, consider replacement.
No water from RO faucetTank shut-off valve closed, or RO system not producing water.Verify the tank shut-off valve is open. Check water supply to the RO system. Ensure RO system is functioning correctly.
Water tastes or smells unusualContamination in the tank or RO system.Sanitize the entire RO system, including the tank. Replace RO filters and membrane if they are past their service life.
Visible leaks from tank or connectionsLoose connections or damaged tank.Tighten all connections. If the tank itself is leaking or corroded, it must be replaced immediately.

For issues not listed here or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, please contact qualified service personnel or Neo-Pure customer support.
