3. Setup & Installation

3.1 Installing the Mirror Dash Cam

  1. Ensure the vehicle's engine is off.
  2. Attach the WOLFBOX G930 to your existing rearview mirror using the provided rubber straps. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not obstruct your view.
  3. Connect the Type-C power cable to the dash cam's power input port.
  4. Route the power cable along the windshield trim and down to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Plug in the car charger.

3.2 Installing the Rear Camera

  1. Determine the optimal mounting location for the rear camera. It can be installed inside the rear window or outside above the license plate.
  2. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly. Use the 3M tape to secure the camera. If mounting externally, use the provided screws for added security.
  3. Connect the rear camera cable to the rear camera.
  4. Route the rear camera cable from the rear camera to the main dash cam unit. Ensure the cable is neatly tucked away and does not interfere with vehicle operations.
  5. Connect the rear camera cable to the designated port on the main dash cam unit.

Note: The rear camera supports mirror and vertical flip functions, allowing for flexible installation on various vehicle types like pickups, trucks, and RVs. These settings can be adjusted in the device menu.

3.3 Installing the GPS Antenna

  1. Connect the external GPS antenna to the GPS port on the dash cam.
  2. Mount the GPS antenna on the dashboard or windshield where it has a clear view of the sky to ensure optimal signal reception.

3.4 Inserting the MicroSD Card

  1. Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the dash cam.
  2. Insert the provided 64GB MicroSD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
  3. It is recommended to format the MicroSD card within the dash cam's settings before first use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle's engine starts and power is supplied. It will power off automatically when the engine is turned off.

To manually power on/off, press and hold the power button located on the side of the unit.

4.2 Touch Screen Operation

  • Swipe Up/Down: Adjust the viewing angle of the camera.
  • Swipe Left/Right: Switch between front camera view, rear camera view, or split-screen display.
  • Tap Icons: Access various functions and settings displayed on the screen.

4.3 Recording Modes

  • Loop Recording: The dash cam records continuously in 1/2/3 minute segments. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked footage will be overwritten.
  • G-Sensor (Emergency Recording): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the event and lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten.
  • Parking Monitor (Optional): With a separately purchased hardware kit, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle for 24 hours. It supports time-lapse recording and collision detection while parked.

4.4 GPS Functionality

Once the GPS antenna is connected, the dash cam will display real-time speed and direction on the screen. Recorded videos contain GPS data, which can be viewed using the dedicated GPS Player software on your computer (compatible with macOS and Windows).

4.5 Reverse Assist

When the vehicle is put into reverse, the dash cam will automatically display the rear camera view with adjustable parking guidelines. You can swipe up and down on the screen to fine-tune the position of these lines for accurate parking assistance.

4.6 WiFi Connectivity and App Usage

The WOLFBOX G930 features upgraded 5.8GHz WiFi for fast and stable connections. Download the WOLFBOX app on your smartphone. Connect to the dash cam's WiFi network to:

  • View live footage.
  • Download recorded videos directly to your phone.
  • Adjust settings.
  • Share videos easily.

5. Settings & Customization

Access the settings menu by tapping the gear icon on the touch screen. Here you can adjust various parameters:

  • Resolution: Select video resolution for front and rear cameras.
  • Loop Recording Duration: Set loop recording to 1, 2, or 3 minutes.
  • G-Sensor Sensitivity: Adjust the sensitivity of the G-sensor (Low, Medium, High).
  • Parking Monitor: Enable/disable and configure parking surveillance modes (requires hardware kit).
  • WDR: Toggle Wide Dynamic Range on/off for improved image clarity in varied lighting.
  • Time Zone: Set the correct time zone for accurate timestamps.
  • Date/Time: Manually adjust date and time if not automatically updated by GPS.
  • Screen Saver: Set the screen to turn off after a period of inactivity to avoid distraction.
  • Volume: Adjust system sound volume.
  • Format SD Card: Erase all data on the MicroSD card.
  • Rear Camera Flip: Adjust mirror and vertical flip for the rear camera view.

6. Maintenance & Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam screen and lens. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • MicroSD Card: Regularly format the MicroSD card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Replace the card if it shows signs of degradation or errors.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. The super capacitor design offers high-temperature resistance, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight in a hot car can still affect longevity.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the WOLFBOX official website periodically for firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.

7. Troubleshooting
