3. Setup
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Insert the included AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Probe Connection: Insert the stainless steel probes into the corresponding probe jacks (P1 and P2) on the side of the main unit. Ensure they are fully inserted for a secure connection.
- Initial Power On: The unit will automatically power on once the battery is installed. If not, press the power button.
4. Operation
Setting Meat Type and Doneness (USDA Presets):

- Press the "MEAT" button to cycle through the 6 preset meat types: Poultry, Pork, Ham, Beef, BBQ, and User-defined.
- For Poultry, Pork, Ham, and Beef, you can further select the doneness level (Rare, Medium, Well Done) by pressing the "MEAT" button again after selecting the meat type.
- The target temperature for the selected meat and doneness will be displayed as "SET" temperature.
Custom Temperature Setting:
- Select "User-defined" using the "MEAT" button.
- Press the "PROBE" button to select which probe (P1 or P2) you want to customize.
- Use the "UP" (▲) or "DOWN" (▼) buttons to adjust the desired target temperature. Hold the buttons for faster adjustment.
BBQ HI/LO Temperature Alert:

This feature is ideal for monitoring ambient temperatures in smokers or ovens.
- Press the "HI/LO" button to activate the BBQ HI/LO alert mode.
- The "HI" temperature will flash. Use the "UP" (▲) or "DOWN" (▼) buttons to set your desired high temperature limit.
- Press "HI/LO" again to switch to the "LO" temperature setting. Use the "UP" (▲) or "DOWN" (▼) buttons to set your desired low temperature limit.
- Press "HI/LO" a third time to confirm settings and exit. An alarm will sound if the temperature goes above the HI setting or below the LO setting.
Using the Backlight:

Simply touch the ThermoPro logo on the display to activate the backlight. It will automatically turn off after 10 seconds to conserve battery power.
Temperature Unit Selection:
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), locate the °C/°F button on the back of the unit and press it.

7. Maintenance

- Probe Care: The stainless steel probes can be washed with soap and hot water. Ensure the probe connectors are dry before plugging them back into the main unit. Do NOT immerse the probe connectors in water.
- Storage: Store the thermometer and probes in a dry place when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
