1. Product Overview

The Skyworth 24G1H is a 24-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) gaming monitor featuring a Fast-IPS panel, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. It supports FreeSync technology and offers a wide color gamut with 99% sRGB coverage. The monitor is designed for an immersive visual experience with eye-care features like low blue light and flicker-free technology.

2. Setup

2.1. Unboxing and Package Contents

Carefully open the product packaging. The box contains the following items:

  • Skyworth 24G1H Monitor
  • Monitor Stand (Base and Bracket)
  • Power Adapter
  • HDMI Cable
  • User Manual and Quick Start Guide
  • Mounting Screws (for VESA mounting)

2.2. Stand Assembly

To assemble the monitor stand:

  1. Place the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent screen damage.
  2. Attach the stand bracket to the back of the monitor. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Connect the stand base to the bracket. The base typically slides into the bracket and is secured with pre-attached screws or a quick-release mechanism.
  4. Verify the stand is firmly attached and stable before placing the monitor upright.

2.3. VESA Mounting (Optional)

The monitor supports VESA 100x100mm mounting. If you wish to mount the monitor on a wall or specialized stand, remove the pre-installed stand. Use the provided screws and any necessary spacers to secure the monitor to your VESA-compatible mount.

2.4. Connecting to Devices

The monitor provides multiple input options:

  • Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC power port on the monitor and then to a power outlet.
  • Video Input: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect your computer or gaming console to one of the two HDMI 1.4 ports. Alternatively, use a DisplayPort (DP 1.2) cable for connection.
  • Audio Output: Connect external speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm audio out port for sound.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the bottom right side of the monitor to turn it on or off.

3.2. OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu Navigation

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the buttons on the bottom right of the monitor to navigate:

  • M: Menu button to open the OSD or enter a sub-menu.
  • < / >: Navigation buttons to move left/right or decrease/increase values.
  • E: Enter button to confirm selections.
  • Power: Power on/off.

3.3. Input Selection

To switch between input sources (HDMI1, HDMI2, DP), navigate to the 'Input Select' option within the OSD menu and choose your desired source.

3.4. Picture Settings

Adjust the display to your preference using the following OSD settings:

  • Luminance: Adjust Brightness and Contrast. Options for Eco Mode (Standard, FPS, RTS, Network, Movie, Game), DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio), Overdrive, and MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) are available.
  • Color Setup: Modify Color Temp (Warm, Cool, User) and individual Red, Green, Blue color levels. Enable or disable Low Blue Light mode.
  • Image Setup: Adjust H. Position, V. Position, Clock, Phase, and Image Ratio (Wide).
  • OSD Setup: Configure Language, OSD H. Position, V. Position, Timeout, and Transparence.
  • Extra: Access Input Select, Mute, Volume, Adaptive Sync, and Crosshair settings.

3.5. Gaming Modes

The monitor offers 6 pre-set profiles (Standard, FPS, RTS, Network, Movie, Game) optimized for different usage scenarios. Select the appropriate mode from the OSD menu for an enhanced viewing experience.

3.6. Adaptive Sync (FreeSync)

To reduce screen tearing and stuttering during gaming, enable Adaptive Sync (FreeSync) in the 'Extra' section of the OSD menu. Ensure your graphics card also supports and has FreeSync enabled.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the monitor and a working power outlet. Check the power button.
  • No Display/Signal: Verify that the video cable (HDMI or DisplayPort) is correctly connected to both the monitor and your device. Select the correct input source via the OSD menu.
  • Flickering/Tearing: Enable Adaptive Sync (FreeSync) in the OSD menu and ensure it is also enabled on your graphics card. Check for updated graphics drivers.
  • Image Quality Issues (e.g., too dark/bright, incorrect colors): Adjust Brightness, Contrast, and Color Temperature settings in the OSD menu. Reset picture settings to default if necessary.
  • No Audio from Audio Out: Check that external speakers or headphones are properly connected to the 3.5mm audio out port. Adjust the volume in the OSD menu and on your connected device.
