3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your slot car race track:

  1. Step 1: Initial Track Assembly
Take out two LC (long curve) track pieces and two LD (long straight) track pieces. Connect them to form a basic straight section with curves at each end.
  2. Step 2: Forming the S-Curve
Take out three LC (long curve) track pieces and three LE (long end) track pieces. Connect these to create an S-shaped curve section.
  3. Step 3: Building the Overpass
Take out one LC (long curve), one LB (long bridge) track piece, and two LE (long end) track pieces. Assemble the S-curve track first, then connect the LB and LC pieces in sequence to form the elevated overpass section. Ensure the short end of the track is below the long end for proper elevation.
  4. Step 4: Creating the Circular Track
Take out six LD (long straight) track pieces. Assemble these pieces to form a circular track section.
  5. Step 5: Completing the Layout
Take out the remaining track parts, which include three LC (long curve) pieces and one LE (long end) piece. Use these to connect all previously assembled sections and complete the full track layout as desired.
  6. Final Installation: Track Brackets and Guardrails
Install the track brackets (low, medium, high) to support elevated sections and ensure stability. Attach the orange guardrails to the outer edges of curves and elevated sections to prevent cars from derailing.
  7. Car Preparation: Adjusting Brushes
Before placing cars on the track, adjust the brushes on the bottom of each slot car. Ensure they are properly aligned and make good contact with the metal rails of the track for optimal performance.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the track is assembled and cars are prepared, you can begin racing:

  • Power Modes: The race track set supports two power modes: electric (via the included adapter) or 6xAA batteries (not included). Connect the power adapter to the track's power input or insert 6xAA batteries into the designated compartment.
  • Controlling the Cars: Use the two included remote controls to operate the slot cars. Press the trigger to accelerate and release to slow down.
  • Automatic Lap Counter: The track features an automatic lap counter to record race progress in real-time. Each time a car passes the starting point, the lap counter will increment.
  • Speed Control: The high-speed racing cars can reach speeds of approximately 300-370 mph on the track. It is important to control your speed, especially when approaching turns, to prevent cars from derailing.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your race track set, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Brush Replacement: The set includes extra brushes for the bottom of the cars. If cars start to lose consistent contact with the track or slow down, inspect the brushes for wear and replace them as needed.
  • Track Cleaning: Periodically clean the metal rails on the track pieces to remove any dust, debris, or oxidation that may accumulate. This ensures good electrical contact for the cars.
  • Storage: When not in use, disassemble the track and store all components in their original packaging or a suitable container to prevent damage and loss of parts.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your race track set, try the following troubleshooting steps:
