Introduction

The Shark UZ565H Pro Cordless Vacuum is designed for efficient and versatile cleaning. It features Clean Sense IQ technology, which automatically adjusts suction power based on detected dirt, and MultiFLEX technology for enhanced maneuverability and compact storage. The PowerFins Plus brushroll is engineered to handle various floor types, from hard floors to carpets, effectively picking up debris and pet hair.

Important Safety Instructions

When using your Shark vacuum cleaner, basic safety precautions should always be observed. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

• Always unplug the vacuum from the charger before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
• Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Exercise extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use without dust cup and/or filters in place.
• Store the appliance indoors. Put it away after use to prevent accidents.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your new Shark UZ565H Pro Cordless Vacuum:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
2. Attach PowerFins Plus Nozzle: Insert the MultiFLEX wand into the PowerFins Plus Nozzle until it clicks securely into place.
3. Attach Hand Vacuum: Insert the hand vacuum into the top of the MultiFLEX wand until it clicks securely into place.
4. Charge Battery: Before first use, fully charge the removable Lithium-Ion battery. You can charge it while it's attached to the vacuum or separately. Connect the charger to the battery port and plug it into a wall outlet. The LED display will indicate charging status.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off and Suction Modes

Press the power button on the hand vacuum to turn the unit on or off. The LED display provides real-time readouts to monitor battery life and allows you to select different suction levels for various cleaning needs.

Clean Sense IQ Technology

The Clean Sense IQ feature automatically detects the amount of dirt and debris on your floor. When more dirt is detected, the vacuum will automatically increase its suction power to ensure thorough cleaning. The LED display will visually indicate when floors are clean.

MultiFLEX Technology

The MultiFLEX wand allows you to bend the vacuum for easy access under furniture, beds, and other hard-to-reach areas without needing to bend down. It also enables compact, freestanding storage.

Using Attachments

The Duster Crevice Tool and Anti-Allergen Dusting Brush can be attached directly to the hand vacuum or to the end of the wand for extended reach. These tools are ideal for cleaning tight spaces, upholstery, and delicate surfaces.

Maintenance

Emptying the Dust Cup

The XL dust cup should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal suction. To empty, detach the hand vacuum from the wand. Position the dust cup over a trash bin and press the CleanTouch Dirt Ejector button to release the bottom flap and empty debris. Close the flap securely after emptying.

Cleaning Filters

The Anti-Allergen Complete Seal + HEPA filter system captures over 99.9% of dust and allergens. For best performance, rinse the foam and felt filters with water every month and allow them to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. The HEPA filter should be tapped clean periodically and rinsed as needed.

Self-Cleaning Brushroll

The PowerFins Plus Nozzle features a self-cleaning brushroll designed to prevent hair wrap. If any debris or hair remains wrapped around the brushroll, carefully remove it using scissors or by hand while the vacuum is turned off and unplugged.
