Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Current

Before connecting to your vehicle, press the "Current" button on the charger's display to cycle through the available amperage settings (10A, 16A, 20A, 24A, 32A). Select the desired current based on your vehicle's requirements and your electrical circuit's capacity. Note: For optimal safety, ensure your circuit breaker can support the selected amperage (e.g., 40A circuit breaker for Max 32A output; 30A circuit breaker for Max 24A output).

2. Setting Delay Start

To set a delayed charging start time, press the "Delay" button on the display. You can set a delay from 1 to 12 hours. This feature is useful for scheduling charging during off-peak electricity hours to save costs.

3. Monitoring Charging Status

The charger's display provides real-time information including kilowatt-hours (kWh) charged, voltage, amperage, power (kW), and charging time. The indicator lights also provide a quick visual status:

  • Red Light: Solid for standby, flashing for error detected.
  • Green Light: Solid for fully charged, flashing for actively charging.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the charger unit and cables with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Care: Avoid kinking or bending the charging cable sharply. Store the cable neatly when not in use, ideally in the provided storage bag.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the charger, cable, and plugs for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

  • Charger Not Powering On: Ensure the NEMA 14-50P plug is fully and securely inserted into the wall outlet. Check the circuit breaker for the outlet to ensure it has not tripped.
  • Charging Not Initiating: Verify that the J1772 connector is properly and securely plugged into the vehicle's charging port. Check the charger's display for any error messages (red flashing light). Ensure the vehicle's charging settings are correctly configured.
  • Slow Charging: If charging is slower than expected, check the selected current setting on the charger's display. Also, note that charging speed may reduce when the vehicle's battery reaches 80% or if the charger's internal temperature rises, as a protective measure.
  • Error Indication: If the red indicator light is flashing, an error has been detected. Refer to the display for specific error codes or contact customer support for assistance.
