3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your vacuum cleaner before first use.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Check against the 'Included Components' list to ensure all items are present.
- Filter Installation (Dry Cleaning): For dry vacuuming, ensure the washable dust bag is securely installed inside the tank. The HEPA filter should also be in place, covering the motor inlet.
- Filter Installation (Wet Cleaning): For wet vacuuming, remove the washable dust bag and HEPA filter. Install the sponge filter over the motor inlet. Ensure it is properly seated to prevent water from entering the motor.
- Attach Flexible Hose: Insert the larger end of the flexible hose into the suction inlet on the vacuum cleaner unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Assemble Extension Tubes: Connect the plastic suction tubes together by twisting them until they lock. Attach one end of the assembled tubes to the handle of the flexible hose.
- Attach Cleaning Accessory: Select the appropriate cleaning accessory (e.g., Floor Cum Carpet Brush, Crevice Nozzle) and attach it to the open end of the extension tubes. For direct use, accessories can also be attached directly to the flexible hose handle.
4. Operating Instructions
This section details how to use your INALSA Vectra vacuum cleaner for both wet and dry applications.
4.1 Dry Vacuuming
- Ensure the washable dust bag and HEPA filter are correctly installed.
- Connect the desired accessory (e.g., Floor Cum Carpet Brush for floors, Crevice Nozzle for tight spaces).
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the power button located on the unit to turn on the vacuum cleaner.
- Move the accessory over the surface to be cleaned.
- After cleaning, press the power button to turn off the unit and unplug it from the outlet.
4.2 Wet Vacuuming
Important: Before wet vacuuming, remove the dust bag and HEPA filter. Install the sponge filter.
- Ensure the sponge filter is correctly installed and the dust bag/HEPA filter are removed.
- Attach the 2-in-1 Wet and Dry Squeezing Brush or another suitable accessory for liquid pickup.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the vacuum cleaner.
- Move the accessory over the wet surface to pick up liquids.
- Monitor the liquid level in the tank. Do not overfill. The vacuum cleaner has a float valve that will automatically stop suction when the tank is full.
- After cleaning, press the power button to turn off the unit and unplug it from the outlet. Empty the liquid tank immediately.
4.3 Using the Blower Function
The vacuum cleaner can also be used as a blower to clear dust or debris from hard-to-reach areas.
- Locate the blower outlet on the vacuum cleaner unit.
- Attach the flexible hose to the blower outlet.
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the unit. Air will now be expelled from the hose.
- Direct the airflow to clear debris.
- Turn off and unplug after use.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
5.1 Emptying the Dust Tank
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged.
- Release the latches on the sides of the unit and carefully lift off the motor head.
- For dry waste, remove the dust bag and empty its contents into a waste bin.
- For wet waste, carefully pour out the collected liquid.
- Clean the inside of the tank with a damp cloth if necessary.
- Reattach the motor head and secure the latches.
5.2 Cleaning Filters
Filters should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power.
- Washable Dust Bag: Remove the dust bag and shake out debris. It can be hand-washed with mild detergent and air-dried completely before reinstallation.
- HEPA Filter: Gently tap the HEPA filter to dislodge dust. For thorough cleaning, it can be rinsed under running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation to prevent damage to the motor.
- Sponge Filter: Rinse the sponge filter under running water to remove debris. Squeeze out excess water and allow it to air dry completely before reinstallation.
5.3 Cleaning Accessories
Wipe down all accessories with a damp cloth. Ensure they are free of blockages.
5.4 Storage
Store the vacuum cleaner and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the tank is empty and clean before storage.
