3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The camera requires 8 AA batteries (not included). Ensure the camera is powered off before installing or replacing batteries. Open the camera casing and insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators inside the battery compartment.

3.2 SD Card Installation

A micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) is required to store photos and videos. With the camera powered off, locate the SD card slot and insert the card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place. To remove, press the card gently until it springs out.

3.3 Mounting the Camera

Use the included mounting strap to secure the camera to a tree, pole, or other suitable structure. Thread the strap through the slots on the back of the camera and fasten it securely. Ensure the camera is stable and pointed towards the desired monitoring area. The camera can also be mounted using a wall mount (not included) or tripod (not included) via the threaded insert at the bottom.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Off

To power on the camera, slide the mode switch from OFF to SETUP or ON. In SETUP mode, you can configure settings and review media. In ON mode, the camera will enter surveillance mode after a short countdown.

4.2 Navigating the Menu

Use the 2.4-inch LCD screen and the control buttons (Push Button control type) to navigate the camera's menu. Access settings such as photo resolution, video resolution, trigger interval, PIR sensitivity, and operating mode (Photo, Video, Photo+Video, Time Lapse).

4.3 Recording Modes

• Photo Mode: Captures still images when motion is detected.
• Video Mode: Records video clips when motion is detected.
• Photo + Video Mode: Captures both a still image and a video clip upon motion detection.
• Time Lapse Mode: Captures images at set intervals, useful for observing slow processes like plant growth or construction.

4.4 Night Vision and Motion Detection

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low light conditions, utilizing its 40pcs no-glow infrared LEDs to capture clear images and videos up to 100 feet away. The motion detection system (PIR sensor) triggers recording when movement is detected within its range, ensuring efficient capture of activity.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning and Storage

Regularly clean the camera lens and PIR sensors with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal performance. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries and store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5.2 Battery and SD Card Management

Monitor battery levels regularly, especially in cold weather, as battery life can be affected. Replace all batteries simultaneously with new ones. Periodically format the SD card (after backing up important data) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
