Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe down the stand with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Lubrication: Periodically check moving parts. If any part feels stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant.
- Storage: Always collapse the stand to its minimum size and store it in the provided carrying case when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, levers, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose components to ensure stability and safety.
Troubleshooting
- Stand is unstable: Ensure all leg locks and height adjustment levers are securely tightened. Verify that the legs are spread to an appropriate angle for the terrain. Consider adding a counterweight to the hook located at the bottom of the center column for added stability, especially with heavier equipment or in windy conditions.
- Device is not secure on ball head: Ensure the 1/4"-20 screw is fully threaded into your device and the ball head's main knob is firmly tightened. If using the smartphone clamp, ensure the phone is properly seated and the clamp is secure.
- Legs or center column are stiff: Clean any dirt or debris from the telescoping sections. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts.
