5. Setup
5.1. Charging the Device
- Connect the Micro USB cable to the USB port on the player.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a powered USB port on a computer or a compatible USB wall adapter (not included).
- The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.
5.2. Inserting the Micro SD Card
The device comes with a 4GB Micro SD card, which can be expanded up to 32GB.
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the player.
- Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly.
- To remove, gently push the card in until it clicks, then release, and it will eject.
5.3. Connecting Headphones
- Plug the 3.5mm jack of the earbud headphones into the headphone port on the player.
- Ensure the connection is secure for optimal audio quality.
6. Basic Operation
6.1. Power On/Off
- To Power On: Slide the ON/OFF switch (located on the back/side) to the 'ON' position. The screen will light up.
- To Power Off: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position. The device will shut down.
6.2. Navigation
Use the circular control pad for menu navigation:
- Left/Right Buttons (< / >): Navigate through menu options or skip tracks/chapters.
- Central Button (▶‖): Select an option, play/pause media.
- Back Button (↩): Return to the previous menu or screen.
- 'M' Button: Access the main menu or context-sensitive options within an application.
6.3. Volume Control
Volume is typically controlled using the Left/Right buttons during media playback. Press the 'M' button during playback to access volume control if not directly available.
7. Functions
7.1. Music Playback
- From the main menu, select 'Music'.
- Browse your music files by artist, album, or folder.
- Select a song and press the central button to play.
- Use the Left/Right buttons to skip tracks. Press the central button to pause/resume.
7.2. Video Playback
- From the main menu, select 'Video'.
- Browse your video files.
- Select a video and press the central button to play.
- The 1.8-inch screen supports video playback for compatible formats.
7.3. E-book Reader
The Xemio 659MIX supports e-book files in XXT format, as well as image files like JPG and BMP.
- From the main menu, select 'E-book' or 'Picture' for image viewing.
- Navigate to your desired file.
- Press the central button to open and view the content.
7.4. Voice Recorder
The integrated voice recorder allows you to create and save voice memos.
- From the main menu, select 'Voice Recorder'.
- Press the central button to start recording.
- Press the central button again to stop and save the recording.
- Recordings are saved to the device's memory or SD card.
8. Connecting to a Computer
To transfer files to and from your Xemio 659MIX:
- Ensure the player is powered on.
- Connect the player to your computer using the Micro USB cable.
- The player will appear as a removable disk drive on your computer.
- Drag and drop your music, video, e-book, or image files into the appropriate folders on the player's storage or SD card.
- Always safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.
9. Maintenance
9.1. Cleaning
- Wipe the device with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
9.2. Battery Care
- Charge the battery regularly, even if the device is not used for extended periods, to maintain battery health.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

10. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Check the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
- No sound: Check headphone connection. Adjust volume. Ensure media files are not corrupted.
- Cannot transfer files: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the device is recognized by the computer.
- Screen is frozen: Try sliding the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF' and then 'ON' again to restart the device.
- SD card not recognized: Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly. Try reinserting it. Ensure the card is not damaged.
