4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or buttons.

4.2 Battery Care

  • Replace batteries when the remote's performance diminishes or it stops responding.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and potential damage.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Remote Not Responding

If your remote control is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-). Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
  • Line of Sight: Confirm there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the AV receiver. Obstructions can block the infrared signal.
  • Infrared Sensor: Ensure the infrared sensor on your AV receiver is not obstructed or dirty.
  • Compatibility: Verify that your AV receiver model is listed as compatible with the RC-866M remote control.

If the issue persists after performing these checks, please contact customer support for further assistance.
