Please read these safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your mains voltage. Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. Unplug the toaster when not in use and before cleaning.
- Hot Surfaces: The toaster surfaces become hot during operation. Always use oven mitts or handles when touching hot parts. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
- Proper Use: This appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use it outdoors. Do not insert oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils into the toaster slots as this may cause fire or electric shock.

2. Product Overview
The Cecotec Touch&Toast Extra Double Toaster is designed for efficient and customizable toasting. It features two long, extra-wide slots capable of toasting up to four slices of bread simultaneously.

3. Setup
Before first use, follow these steps:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging and remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or stickers.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains or other flammable materials. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Initial Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- First Use (Burn-off): Plug the toaster into a grounded electrical outlet. Set the browning control to the highest setting (level 7) without any bread in the slots. Operate the toaster once or twice to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Allow the toaster to cool down between cycles.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Toasting
- Insert Bread: Place up to four slices of bread into the toasting slots. The self-centering system will automatically position the bread for even toasting.
- Select Toast Level: Use the digital knob or the touch screen to select your desired browning level from 1 (lightest) to 7 (darkest).
- Start Toasting: Press the lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the selected time will be displayed on the screen.
- Automatic Pop-up: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the bread will automatically pop up, and the toaster will shut off.

4.2 Special Functions
The toaster includes several functions accessible via the touch screen:
- Cancel: Press the 'Cancel' button (often represented by a stop icon or 'X') to stop the toasting cycle at any time. The bread will pop up.
- Reheat: Use this function to warm up already toasted bread without further browning. Select the reheat function on the touch screen, then lower the bread.
- Defrost: This function allows you to toast frozen bread. Select the defrost function on the touch screen, then lower the bread. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time.
- Quick Look: Some models feature a 'Quick Look' button that temporarily raises the bread for inspection without interrupting the cycle. Press the button, check the toast, and release to continue toasting.

4.3 Using the Reheat Rack
To warm croissants, pastries, or other items that cannot fit into the slots:
- Pull up the integrated reheat rack.
- Place the items on the rack.
- Select a low browning setting (e.g., level 1 or 2) and press the lever down.
- Monitor the items closely to prevent burning.
- Once warmed, lift the lever to release the rack and carefully remove the items.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Empty the crumbs and wipe the tray with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads, or harsh chemicals.
- Interior: Never insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean them. If bread remains stuck, unplug the toaster and carefully remove it with non-metallic tongs.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your toaster, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
