3. Setup and First Use

3.2 Initial Cleaning and Priming

- Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water up to the MAX level.
- Place the water tank back into its position on the machine.
- Place a large cup or container under the coffee outlet.
- Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the power button to turn on the machine. Wait for the machine to heat up (approximately 30 seconds), indicated by the light becoming steady.
- Without any capsule or ground coffee, press the button for a large cup (e.g., 150ml setting) to run hot water through the system. Repeat this process 2-3 times to flush out any manufacturing residues.
- Empty and clean the drip tray.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Preparing Coffee
This machine is compatible with various coffee formats. Always ensure the correct adapter is used for your chosen coffee type.

- Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
- Power On: Plug in the machine and press the power button. Wait for the machine to pre-heat (light becomes steady).
- Insert Coffee:
- For Capsules (Dolce Gusto, Nespresso, ESE Pod, Senseo): Select the appropriate adapter. Insert the capsule/pod into the adapter. Close the adapter securely.
- For Ground Coffee: Use the ground coffee adapter. Add the desired amount of ground coffee (typically 1 scoop for a single espresso) into the filter, ensuring it is level. Close the adapter securely.
- Place Adapter: Insert the filled adapter into the machine's designated slot.
- Position Cup: Place your coffee cup under the coffee outlet. The machine accommodates cups of various sizes.
- Select Coffee Volume: Press the desired button for your coffee volume (e.g., 1 cup for espresso, 2 cups for lungo, or a larger cup setting). The machine will automatically stop when the selected volume is dispensed.
- Enjoy: Your coffee is ready.

4.2 Adjusting Coffee Volume (Programmable)
You can customize the volume of your coffee for the 1-cup and 2-cup settings.
- Ensure the machine is pre-heated and ready.
- Insert your desired capsule/ground coffee adapter.
- Place a cup under the outlet.
- Press and hold the button for the volume you wish to program (e.g., the 1-cup button).
- Release the button once the desired coffee volume has been dispensed into your cup. The machine will remember this setting for future uses of that button.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Empty and Clean Drip Tray: After each use, or when the indicator shows it's full, remove the drip tray and empty any accumulated liquid. Wash it with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Clean Capsule Adapters: Remove the used capsule/ground coffee adapter. Discard the used coffee. Wash the adapter with warm soapy water and rinse.
- Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Descaling
Descaling is crucial to remove mineral deposits that can affect machine performance and coffee taste. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, but generally every 2-3 months.
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar or commercial descaler) with water according to the product's instructions. Fill the water tank with this solution.
- Place Container: Place a large container under the coffee outlet.
- Run Solution: Turn on the machine. Run the entire descaling solution through the machine by repeatedly pressing the large cup button until the tank is empty.
- Rinse: After the descaling solution has run through, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh, clean water.
- Flush with Water: Run several full tanks of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your coffee machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
