The AOSITE Child Safety Magnetic Cabinet Locks are designed to prevent children and pets from opening cabinets and drawers, enhancing safety in your home. These locks are installed internally, remaining invisible from the outside, and can be easily disengaged for adult access using a magnetic key or a built-in switch.

Safety Information

Setup & Installation: Magnetic Cabinet Locks

These magnetic locks are designed for easy installation without drilling, using strong 3M adhesive. Screws are provided for optional reinforcement.

Compatibility:

• Works on cabinets and drawers with a maximum thickness of 35 mm (1.38 inches).
• Suitable for top drawers only; not compatible with middle or bottom drawers due to the internal mechanism.
• Not suitable for drawers with double-walled fronts.

Installation Steps (Adhesive Method):

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean and dry the interior surface of the cabinet/drawer and the inside of the door where the lock will be installed.
2. Assemble the Cradle: Insert the lock unit into the mounting cradle, then attach the strike plate into the cradle. This assembly aids in accurate positioning.
3. Position the Strike: Remove the adhesive backing from the strike plate and firmly press the cradle (with the strike) onto the cabinet frame, ensuring it aligns with the top or side of the cabinet opening.
4. Position the Lock: Close the cabinet door. The cradle will automatically position the lock unit onto the inside of the door. Press firmly on the door where the lock is located to secure it.
5. Remove Cradle & Test: Open the door, remove the cradle, and use a magnetic key to test the lock.
6. Curing Time: Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before regular use to ensure maximum strength.

Installation Tips:

• Use the provided position stickers to mark the exact location for the magnetic key on the outside of the cabinet/drawer.
• The auxiliary cradle is reusable; keep it for future installations.
• For double security, screws can be used to reinforce the adhesive installation.

Setup & Installation: Cabinet Strap Rope Locks

The included strap rope locks are ideal for securing cabinet knobs or handles that are close together.

Installation Steps:

1. Loop the strap around both cabinet knobs or handles.
2. Thread the end of the strap through the adjustable mechanism to tighten it securely.
3. Ensure the strap is taut enough to prevent the doors from opening.

Operating Instructions

Using Magnetic Cabinet Locks:

• To Unlock: Place the magnetic key on the outside of the cabinet or drawer, aligning it with the internal lock mechanism. The magnet will disengage the lock, allowing the door/drawer to open.
• To Lock: Simply remove the magnetic key. The lock will automatically re-engage when the door/drawer is closed.
• Temporary Unlock Function: Each magnetic lock features a small switch. Push this switch upward to temporarily deactivate the lock, allowing free access to the cabinet/drawer without the magnetic key. Push it down to re-engage the locking function.
• Key Storage: Use the provided key holder to stick the magnetic key to a convenient surface, such as a wall or refrigerator, to prevent misplacement.

Using Cabinet Strap Rope Locks:

• To Unlock: Loosen the adjustable mechanism and unloop the strap from the knobs/handles.
• To Lock: Loop the strap around the knobs/handles and tighten the adjustable mechanism until secure.

Maintenance

• Regularly check the adhesive and screw connections for security. Reapply adhesive or tighten screws if necessary.
• Keep the magnetic keys clean and free of debris to ensure proper function.
• The magnetic key structure has been optimized for durability; however, avoid excessive force or dropping to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

• Lock not holding: Ensure the installation surface was clean and dry. Press firmly during adhesive application and allow the full 24-hour curing time. Consider using the provided screws for additional reinforcement.
• Magnetic key not unlocking: Verify the magnetic key is placed directly over the internal lock mechanism. Check for any obstructions between the key and the lock.
