4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is critical for safety. There are two primary mounting styles:

4.1. Roll Cage Mount

For vehicles equipped with a roll cage, the harness straps can be looped around the roll cage bars. Ensure the straps are routed correctly and secured tightly to prevent slippage.

4.2. Mounting Bracket Mount (Bolt-In)

For vehicles without a roll cage or for specific mounting points, use the provided mounting brackets and bolts. Secure the harness ends to existing or newly installed reinforced mounting points in the vehicle chassis.

• Identify suitable, reinforced mounting points in your vehicle. These should be factory-designed seat belt anchor points or professionally installed reinforcement plates.
• Attach the harness ends to the mounting brackets using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
• Double-check all mounting points for stability and integrity before use.

5. Operating the Harness

Once installed, follow these steps to properly secure yourself with the 4-point racing harness:

• Sit in the Seat: Position yourself comfortably in the vehicle seat.
• Shoulder Straps: Pull the two shoulder straps over your shoulders. Ensure the 3-inch comfortable padding is correctly positioned for maximum comfort and protection.
• Lap Straps: Bring the two lap straps across your hips.
• Buckle Up: Insert the lap strap tongues into the quick auto buckle until they click securely into place.
• Adjust for Fit:
  • Tighten the shoulder straps by pulling the adjusters until they are snug against your body, without being overly restrictive.
  • Tighten the lap straps to ensure a firm fit across your pelvis. The lap straps should sit low across your hips, not on your abdomen.

6. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Hand wash only. Use mild soap and cold water. Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners.
• Drying: Air dry completely in a shaded area. Do not tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can degrade the polyester fabric.
