4. Setup

4.1 Charging the RC Car

  1. Locate the charging port on the Hot Wheels RC car.
  2. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the car's charging port.
  3. Connect the larger end of the USB charging cable to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter, power bank).
  4. The charging indicator light on the car will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.
  5. Charging typically takes approximately 30-60 minutes for a full charge.

4.2 Controller Battery Installation

The radio controller requires 2x AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio controller.
  2. Using a small screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

4.3 Pairing the Car and Controller

The car and controller are typically pre-paired. If they do not connect automatically:

  1. Ensure both the RC car and the controller are powered on.
  2. Place the car on a flat surface.
  3. The controller's indicator light should blink while searching for the car and become solid once connected.
  4. If pairing fails, turn both devices off, wait a few seconds, and then turn them back on.

4.4 Attaching the Track Adapter

The included track adapter allows for seamless transition onto Hot Wheels orange track (sold separately).

  1. Identify the designated slot or attachment point on the underside or rear of the RC car for the track adapter.
  2. Align the track adapter with the attachment point and firmly snap it into place.
  3. To remove, gently press any release tabs (if present) and pull the adapter off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

  • Left Joystick: Push forward to move the car forward. Pull backward to move the car in reverse.
  • Right Joystick: Push left to steer the car left. Push right to steer the car right.
  • Combined Movement: Use both joysticks simultaneously for precise control and maneuvering.

5.2 Turbo Boost

Your Hot Wheels RC car is equipped with a turbo boost feature for enhanced speed.

  • Locate the designated turbo boost button on the controller (often a smaller button near the joysticks).
  • Press and hold the turbo boost button while driving to activate a temporary burst of speed.
  • Release the button to return to normal speed.

5.3 Driving on Hot Wheels Track

To transition your RC car onto Hot Wheels orange track (sold separately):

  1. Ensure the track adapter is securely attached to the RC car.
  2. Position the car with the adapter aligned with the entry point of the Hot Wheels track.
  3. Gently drive the car forward, allowing the adapter to guide it onto the track.
  4. Once on the track, continue to control the car using the controller.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Turn off the RC car and controller before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the car and controller.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water (do not use harsh chemicals or solvents).
