Setup

Mounting the Light

The T30 light comes with arm mount kits designed to attach the light panels to the sides of your aquarium. These kits fit rimless or rimmed tanks with a maximum glass thickness of 4cm. Securely attach the arm mounts to your tank, then slide the light panels onto the mounts. Ensure the lights are positioned to provide even coverage over your tank.

Connecting the System

The T30 system supports real daisy chain connectivity. Connect the light panels to each other using the provided daisy chain cables. Then, connect the smart controller to the first light panel. Finally, connect the power supplies to each light panel and plug them into a suitable power outlet. All connected lights will be controlled by the single smart controller.

Initial Controller Setup

Follow these steps to set up the date, time, and initial operating mode:

  1. Step 1: Set Date & Time
Navigate to the 'Date & Time' setting on the controller. Adjust the current date and time. You can also sync with phone time or set a time offset.
  2. Step 2: Select Preset Mode
After setting the time, choose a preset operating mode. Options include '4 Season & Lunar', 'Slow Acclimate', 'Vivid Color', and 'Coral Cut & Frag'. Select the mode that best suits your aquarium's needs.

Operating Instructions

The Smart Controller allows you to manage the light's operation through various modes and settings.

Preset Modes

The controller offers several pre-programmed modes to suit different aquarium environments:

  • Slow Acclimation Mode: Recommended for the first month to help your tank adapt to the new lighting environment.
  • Vivid Color Mode: Enhances the coloration of corals and fish.
  • 4 Season Mode: Simulates seasonal light changes.
  • Moonlight Mode: Provides gentle illumination during nighttime hours.

24-Hour Cycle Running

The system can mimic natural day/night cycles and lunar phases with smooth dimming down to 0.1%. This includes a gentle sunrise, full daylight, sunset, and faint moonlight, providing a natural environment for your aquatic life.

Advanced Programming

For users who require more precise control, the advanced programming feature allows customization of time and brightness values for each of the 4 channels. This enables the creation of limitless spectral combinations to meet your tank's specific needs.

  1. Access the 'Program SunCycle' option in the controller menu.
  2. Select 'Set Channel' for each of the four channels (1-4).
  3. For each channel, set specific time points and corresponding brightness percentages. For example, you can set Channel 1 to 0% at 05:00, 30% at 07:00, and 55% at 09:30.
  4. Repeat for all desired channels and time points to create your custom light cycle.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Regularly clean the light panels and controller to ensure optimal performance. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse any part of the unit in water. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.

Smart Cooling System

The T30 features smart fans for LED temperature control. These fans automatically activate when the LED temperature reaches 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) to maintain optimal operating conditions. At very low-intensity levels, fan operation may not be required. Ensure the fan vents are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow.
