Introduction
The Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM is a portable, waterproof Bluetooth speaker designed to deliver powerful, 360-degree immersive sound with deep bass. It features adaptive or preset EQ settings, PartyUp mode for connecting multiple speakers, and Outdoor Boost for enhanced sound outdoors. With an IP67 rating, it is dustproof and can be submerged in water, making it suitable for various environments. Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge your EPICBOOM speaker. Connect the included USB-C cable to the speaker's USB-C charging port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

2. Initial Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the EPICBOOM speaker by pressing the power button.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear a tone and the LED flashes rapidly. This indicates the speaker is in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop), go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "EPICBOOM" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone from the speaker, and the LED will turn solid.
3. NFC Connection (Optional)
For devices with NFC capability, simply tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC tag area on the top of the EPICBOOM speaker to initiate pairing. Follow any on-screen prompts on your device.
Operating the Speaker
Power On/Off
- To power on, press the power button located on the top of the speaker.
- To power off, press and hold the power button until the speaker shuts down.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the large '+' and '-' buttons on the front of the speaker, or directly from your connected device.
Music Playback
- Press the Magic Button (top center) once to play or pause music.
- Press the Magic Button twice quickly to skip to the next track.
Adaptive EQ and Presets
The EPICBOOM features adaptive EQ that automatically adjusts sound based on its environment. For further customization, download the BOOM app. The app allows you to:
- Customize your EQ settings.
- Choose from various presets like Deep Relaxation Mode, Podcast Mode, or Gaming Mode.

Outdoor Boost
For enhanced sound clarity and volume in outdoor environments, press the Outdoor Boost button located on the top of the speaker. This optimizes the audio profile for open spaces.
PartyUp Mode
Connect multiple Ultimate Ears BOOM, MEGABOOM, and HYPERBOOM speakers together using the PartyUp feature in the BOOM app for a more expansive and louder audio experience. This allows you to sync several speakers for simultaneous playback.

Battery Life
The EPICBOOM provides up to 17 hours of playtime on a single charge, depending on volume levels and usage. To check the battery level, press the '+' and '-' volume buttons simultaneously.

Maintenance
Waterproof and Dustproof Care (IP67 Rated)
The EPICBOOM is IP67 rated, meaning it is dustproof and can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. To maintain its waterproof integrity:
- Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.
- After exposure to chlorinated or saltwater, rinse the speaker with fresh water and allow it to air dry completely before charging.
- Do not charge the speaker if the USB-C port or cable is wet.

Cleaning
To clean the speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
