Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your OMMO Metal Detector:
- Attach the Search Coil:
Remove the bolt and knurled knob from the search coil. Align the search coil with the lower stem and use the bolt and knurled knob to securely attach the search coil to the lower stem.

- Connect the Stems:
Connect the upper stem to the lower stem. Ensure the cable from the search coil passes through the stems.
- Connect to Control Handle:
Align the interface of the upper stem's cable with the slot of the control handle. Insert it firmly and tighten it. Then, connect the upper stem itself with the control handle, ensuring a secure fit.

- Install Battery:
Open the battery compartment on the control handle and insert the 9V battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

- Adjust Length:
Adjust the stem to a suitable length for the user (from 27.5" to 37.8") by pressing the buckle to lock it in place. Ensure it is securely fastened before use.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds.
- To turn off: Press the ON/OFF switch once.
Environmental Calibration (Reset)
If the detector does not respond when turned on, it indicates that Environmental Calibration is functioning. In this case, place the search coil in an open space (away from metal objects) and then press the ON/OFF switch. The detector should then work normally.
Detecting Metals
To effectively detect metals, swipe the search coil from side to side while walking slowly. Keep the lightweight coil parallel to the ground. The detector can discover coins, pennies, or other unexpected surprises underground up to 4 inches deep.

LCD Display Indicators
The intuitive LCD display provides visual feedback:
- Battery Indicator: Shows the current battery level.
- Signal Strength: The animated puppy and bones image indicates signal strength. More bones or a more active puppy animation suggest a stronger signal, meaning more electricity or closer target.
- Beeping Sound: When approaching a metal object, the detector will emit a beeping sound. The frequency of the beep changes based on proximity: faster beeps indicate getting closer, a slower steady beep indicates being directly over the object, and faster beeps again indicate moving away.

Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the detector with a soft, damp cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the metal detector in a dry, cool place when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery when the battery indicator on the LCD display shows low power.
- Water Resistance: The search coil has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected from dust and splashing water. However, the control handle and main unit are not waterproof. Avoid submerging the main unit in water.
