Setup and Installation
This section provides guidance for installing your components into the Montech Sky Two case. Ensure your system is powered off and unplugged before beginning installation.
1. Case Overview and Access
The Montech Sky Two features tool-less removal of its tempered glass side panel and a removable top mesh panel for easy access during installation.

2. Motherboard Installation
The case supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. The ATX standoffs are pre-installed. For other form factors, adjust the standoffs as indicated by the markings on the motherboard tray. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.
3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
The PSU is installed in the dedicated compartment at the bottom of the case. Ensure the PSU fan faces downwards for optimal airflow through the bottom mesh filter. The PSU cage can be repositioned for cable management flexibility.

4. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation
Install your GPU into the appropriate PCIe slot on your motherboard. The case supports GPUs up to 400mm in length. For enhanced GPU cooling, an additional reversed fan can be installed on the PSU shroud to direct airflow directly to the GPU.

5. Fan and Radiator Installation
The case comes with four pre-installed fans (3 x RX120, 1 x AX120). Additional fan and radiator mounting options are available:
- Side: 2 x 120mm fans (pre-installed, reversed for intake).
- Top: Supports 2 x 140mm or 3 x 120mm fans, or radiators up to 360mm.
- Rear: 1 x 120mm fan (pre-installed).
- PSU Shroud: 1 x 120mm fan (reversed for GPU intake, included as accessory).

6. Storage Installation
The case offers versatile storage options:
- HDD Cage: Supports 2 x 3.5" HDDs or 2 x 2.5" SSDs. The cage is removable and adjustable.
- Motherboard Tray: 2 x 2.5" SSD mounts behind the motherboard tray.
7. Cable Management
Utilize the integrated cable channels and Velcro straps behind the motherboard tray to organize cables for a clean build and improved airflow.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button located on the top I/O panel to power on or shut down your system.
2. ARGB Lighting Control
The pre-installed ARGB fans are connected to a controller. Use the dedicated LED button on the top I/O panel to cycle through 21 pre-set lighting effects. Alternatively, connect the controller to your motherboard's 3-pin ARGB header (5V) to synchronize lighting effects via motherboard software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync).
Maintenance
1. Dust Filter Cleaning
Regularly clean the dust filters to maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup inside the case. The bottom dust filter is easily removable from the rear. The top mesh panel can also be removed for cleaning.
- Slide out the bottom dust filter from the rear.
- Unscrew the top mesh panel from the rear and lift it off.
- Clean the filters using compressed air or by rinsing with water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).
2. General Cleaning
Wipe down the exterior of the case and tempered glass panels with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surfaces.
Troubleshooting
- System Not Powering On:
- Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, CPU, GPU) are securely connected to the motherboard and components.
- Verify the PSU is switched on at the back.
- Check front panel header connections (Power SW) to the motherboard.
- Fans Not Spinning/RGB Not Working:
- Check fan power connections (PWM) to the motherboard or fan controller.
- Verify ARGB connections (3-pin 5V) to the controller or motherboard.
- Ensure the fan controller is powered via a SATA power connector from the PSU.
- If using motherboard software, ensure it is up-to-date and correctly configured.
- Poor Airflow/High Temperatures:
- Clean all dust filters.
- Verify fan orientation for optimal intake and exhaust (side fans are intake, rear is exhaust).
- Ensure no cables are obstructing airflow paths inside the case.
