Follow these steps for proper installation of components into your S300 case.
3.1 Component Overview

Image 3.1: Exploded view showing the various components of the KXRORS S300 case.
3.2 Motherboard Installation
- Ensure your motherboard is a standard Mini-ITX (170x170mm) specification.
- Install the CPU, CPU cooler (max height 60mm), and RAM onto the motherboard before placing it into the case.
- Carefully align the motherboard with the standoffs inside the case and secure it with screws.

3.3 Power Supply Installation
- The S300 supports SFX or SFX-L power supplies with a length between 100mm and 130mm.
- Mount the power supply in its designated position, typically at the rear of the case.
- Connect the necessary power cables to your motherboard and other components.
3.4 Graphics Card Installation
- The case includes a premium PCIe 3.0 16X Riser Cable.
- Install your graphics card into the riser cable. The case supports graphics cards up to 305mm in length, 55mm in height (2.5 slots), and 130mm in width.
- Important Note: Before using the 3.0 graphics card extension line, you must set the PCIE speed of your motherboard BIOS to GEN3. Failure to do so may prevent the computer from functioning correctly.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and performance of your PC case.
5.1 Cleaning
- Periodically clean the mesh panels to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cooling efficiency. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Wipe external surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.2 Component Checks
- Occasionally check that all internal components (motherboard, graphics card, power supply, storage drives) are securely fastened.
- Ensure all cables are properly connected and not obstructing airflow.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter during or after assembly.
6.1 Computer Does Not Boot/Display
- PCIe Speed Setting: If you are using the included PCIe 3.0 riser cable, ensure that the PCIE speed in your motherboard's BIOS is set to GEN3. Incorrect settings (e.g., GEN4 or Auto) can prevent the system from booting or displaying video. Refer to your motherboard manual for instructions on accessing and changing BIOS settings.
- Power Connections: Verify that all power cables (24-pin ATX, CPU power, GPU power) are securely connected from the SFX power supply to the motherboard and graphics card.
- Component Seating: Re-seat the RAM modules, graphics card, and any other expansion cards to ensure they are properly seated in their slots.
6.2 Overheating Issues
- Airflow Obstruction: Ensure that the mesh panels are not blocked and that there is adequate space around the case for air circulation.
- Fan Installation: Verify that any installed case fans (8010, 12015) are oriented correctly to draw cool air in and exhaust hot air out.
- CPU Cooler: Confirm that the CPU cooler is properly installed and making good contact with the CPU. Ensure it is within the 60mm height limit.
- Cable Management: Optimize internal cable routing to minimize obstruction of airflow.
6.3 Front I/O Ports Not Functioning
- Motherboard Headers: Check that the USB 3.0 and Type-C cables from the front panel are correctly connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
- Power Button: Ensure the power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header.
