Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Lenses and Screen:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces to clean the lenses. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
- Clean the IPS screen with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not press hard on the screen.
2. General Cleaning:
- Wipe down the microscope body and stand with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Ensure no moisture enters the electronic components.
- Do not use solvents or strong detergents.
3. Storage:
- When not in use, store the microscope in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment.
- Keep the lenses covered to prevent dust accumulation.
- Store the microscope in its original packaging or a protective case if available to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No image on screen. | Power cable not connected; microscope not powered on; lens not installed correctly. | Ensure power cable is securely connected and unit is powered on. Check if the lens is properly screwed in. |
| Image is blurry. | Focus not adjusted; lens dirty; incorrect lens for working distance. | Rotate the focus knob. Clean the lens. Ensure you are using the appropriate lens for your object's size and working distance. |
| Cannot save photos/videos. | Micro SD card not inserted; card full; card corrupted. | Insert the Micro SD card. Delete unnecessary files or replace the card. Format the card if necessary (this will erase all data). |
| External display not showing image. | HDMI/USB cable loose; incorrect input selected on external display. | Check cable connections. Select the correct HDMI or USB input source on your TV/monitor/computer. |
| Lights are not working. | Lights are off or brightness is set to minimum; power issue. | Adjust the brightness knobs. Ensure the microscope is powered on. |
