Step 2: Assemble the Playhouse Base
Begin by connecting the side panels and front/back panels of the playhouse structure using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten until the entire base is assembled.
Step 3: Attach the Ladder

Step 4: Install the Upper Bed Frame and Guardrails
Mount the upper bed frame onto the playhouse base. Attach the full-length guardrails to the upper bunk. These guardrails are crucial for safety and must be installed correctly. Ensure all connections are tight.
Step 5: Place the Slat System
Lay the mattress support slats across the upper bed frame. Secure them according to the instructions to provide a stable base for the mattress. No box spring is needed with this slat system.
Step 6: Final Tightening
Once all components are assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts and fasteners. Do not overtighten. Ensure the bed is stable and level before use.
Operation
The Bellemave Twin Size Loft Bed is designed to provide a sleeping area on the upper bunk and a play or storage space underneath. The integrated ladder provides access to the upper bunk.
- Upper Bunk: Intended for sleeping. Ensure a standard twin-size mattress is used.
- Under-Bed Space: The 51.6-inch clearance beneath the bed can be utilized as a play area, study nook, or for storage.
- Ladder Use: Always use the ladder for safe access to and from the upper bunk. Do not jump on or off the bed.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life and safety of your loft bed.
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and fasteners. Tighten any loose hardware to maintain stability and safety.
- Structural Integrity: Inspect the wood and MDF components for any signs of damage, cracks, or wear. Discontinue use if significant damage is found and contact customer support.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your loft bed, refer to the following common solutions:
- Bed feels wobbly: Ensure all bolts and fasteners are fully tightened. Check that the bed is on a level surface.
- Parts do not fit: Double-check the assembly instructions and part numbers. Some parts may appear similar but are designed for specific locations. Do not force parts together.
- Squeaking noises: Tighten all hardware. Applying a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal connections (if applicable) can help, but ensure it is safe for children's furniture.
