5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Thermostat Display Unit
The thermostat display unit can be powered by two methods:
- Battery Power: Insert 2x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. Note that the display may not remain constantly on when using battery power to conserve energy.
- USB Power: Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the thermostat and a 5V USB power adapter (not included).

5.2 Receiver Installation (Wiring)
The receiver unit is typically mounted near your heating system (boiler, radiator, etc.). Professional installation is recommended for wiring. Ensure power is turned off before proceeding with any wiring.
- Turn off the main power supply to your heating system at the circuit breaker.
- Mount the receiver unit in a suitable location near the heating appliance.
- Connect the neutral wire (blue) and live wire (red) from your power supply to the corresponding terminals on the receiver.

5.3 Thermostat Placement
The thermostat display unit can be placed on a tabletop or wall-mounted. Choose a central location in the room where it can accurately measure the ambient temperature, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources.

5.4 App and WiFi Connection
To enable remote control and smart features, connect your thermostat to the "Smart Life" app.
- Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android).
- Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select "Thermostat" or "Heating Device".
- Put the thermostat into pairing mode (refer to the thermostat's on-screen instructions or manual for specific steps, usually involves holding a button).
- Connect the app to your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
