Introduction

The LEKATO SMK25 is a compact and versatile 25-key USB MIDI keyboard controller designed for music production. It features velocity-sensitive keys, 8 RGB backlit drum pads, and 8 assignable encoder knobs, providing comprehensive control for various musical applications. With Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in rechargeable battery, the SMK25 offers portability and flexibility for musicians on the go. It supports multiple operating systems and integrates seamlessly with popular Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).

Setup

1. Unboxing and Package Contents

Carefully unpack your LEKATO SMK25 controller and verify that all components are present:

• USB Cable
• User Manual

2. Powering the Device

The SMK25 can be powered via USB or its internal 2,000 mAh rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. The battery provides approximately 16 hours of operation on a full charge.

• USB Power: Connect the provided USB cable from the SMK25 to a USB port on your computer or a compatible USB power adapter.
• Battery Power: Ensure the internal battery is charged for wireless operation. The device will automatically use battery power when not connected via USB.

3. Connecting to a Computer/DAW (USB)

To connect the SMK25 to your computer via USB:

1. Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the USB port on the SMK25.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. The SMK25 is plug-and-play and should be recognized automatically by your operating system (Windows, macOS).
4. Open your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Logic Pro X, Bitwig, Reason, Studio One, or GarageBand (iOS).
5. Navigate to your DAW's MIDI settings or preferences and select the LEKATO SMK25 as a MIDI input device.

4. Connecting via Bluetooth (Wireless)

The SMK25 supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless operation:

1. Ensure the SMK25 is powered on and the Bluetooth indicator light is active.
2. On your device (computer, Android, iOS), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
