4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your Corsair RM750e power supply:

  1. Preparation: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your PC case to access the power supply mounting area.
  2. Remove Old PSU (if applicable): Disconnect all cables from your old power supply and remove it from the case.
  3. Mount the New PSU: Carefully place the Corsair RM750e into the power supply bay of your PC case. Ensure the fan is facing the correct direction for optimal airflow (typically facing down if your case has a bottom vent, or up if it's a top-mounted PSU with no bottom vent). 5. Operating Instructions

The Corsair RM750e is designed for reliable, low-noise operation. Once installed, it requires minimal user interaction.

  • Zero RPM Fan Mode: The power supply features a Zero RPM fan mode. The 120mm rifle bearing fan will not spin at low to moderate loads, ensuring near-silent operation. The fan will automatically activate when the load increases to maintain optimal temperatures.
  • Modern Standby Support: The RM750e supports Modern Standby sleep mode, allowing for faster wake-from-sleep times and improved low-load efficiency.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Corsair RM750e, try the following troubleshooting steps:

ProblemPossible Solution
System does not power on.
  • Ensure the AC power cord is securely connected to both the PSU and the wall outlet.
  • Verify the power switch on the back of the PSU is in the 'I' (on) position.
  • Check all modular cables (24-pin ATX, EPS12V) are firmly connected to the motherboard and PSU.
  • Test the wall outlet with another device.
System powers on but is unstable or crashes.
  • Ensure all power connectors to components (CPU, GPU, drives) are securely seated.
  • Verify that your system's power requirements do not exceed the PSU's 750W capacity.
  • Check for any loose connections or short circuits within the PC case.
PSU fan is not spinning.
  • The RM750e features Zero RPM fan mode. The fan will not spin at low loads. This is normal operation.
  • If the system is under significant load and the fan is still not spinning, ensure there are no obstructions. If the issue persists, contact Corsair support.
Unusual noises from the PSU.
  • Ensure the PSU is securely mounted and not vibrating against the case.
