Setup

Gas Range Installation (COS-965AGFC)

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the range for any damage.
2. Leveling: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the range is stable and level.
3. Gas Connection: Connect the gas supply line to the range. This step must be performed by a qualified technician.
4. Electrical Connection: Plug the range into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Burner Assembly: Place the burner bases, caps, and grates correctly on the cooktop. Ensure they are seated properly to prevent ignition issues.

Range Hood Installation (COS-63190S)

1. Mounting: Securely mount the range hood to the wall above your cooktop, ensuring proper clearance.
2. Ducting: Connect the ductwork for ducted operation. For ductless (recirculating) operation, install optional carbon filters (Part # CFK1-TM, sold separately).
3. Electrical Connection: Connect the 120V 3-prong power cord to a suitable outlet.

Operating Instructions

Gas Range Operation

• Cooktop Burners: Turn the metal knob for the desired burner to the 'Lite' position and push it in to ignite. Adjust the flame size as needed. The cooktop features one 17,400 BTU triple ring burner, one 8,200 BTU rapid burner, two 6,900 BTU semi-rapid burners, and one 5,000 BTU auxiliary burner.
• Oven Functions: The 3.8 cu. ft. oven offers 5 functions: Bake, Roast, Broil, Fan Convection, and Light. Use the electronic controls to select your desired function and temperature.
• Rapid Convection: The fan-assisted circular heating element ensures even heat distribution for faster and more consistent cooking results.
• Timer/Clock: Use the built-in display and electronic controls to set the clock and cooking timer for precise meal preparation.

Range Hood Operation

• Fan Speeds: Use the LCD touch control panel to select from three fan speeds (380 CFM) to effectively remove smoke and odors.
• LED Lights: Activate the energy-efficient 2-watt LED lights for improved visibility over your cooktop.

Maintenance

Gas Range Maintenance

• Cooktop Cleaning: Remove cast iron grates and burner caps. Clean with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
• Oven Cleaning: Utilize the oven's self-clean function as needed. For manual cleaning, use oven-safe cleaners and follow product instructions.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner to maintain its appearance.

Range Hood Maintenance

• Filter Cleaning: The ARC-FLOW Permanent Filters are dishwasher-safe. Remove and place them in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
• Ductless Filter Replacement: If operating in ductless mode, replace the carbon filters (CFK1-TM) periodically as recommended by the manufacturer.
• Exterior Cleaning: Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your appliances, refer to the following common solutions or consult the official troubleshooting videos.

Gas Range Troubleshooting

• Burners do not light: Ensure burner caps and bases are correctly seated. Check for any food debris obstructing the burner ports.
• Burners do not stay lit: This may indicate an issue with the thermocouple. Ensure the thermocouple is clean and properly activated by holding the knob in for 20 seconds after ignition.
• Oven not heating: Verify the correct function and temperature settings. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.

Range Hood Troubleshooting

• Fan not operating: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the circuit breaker has tripped.
• Poor suction: Clean or replace filters as necessary. Ensure ductwork is clear of obstructions.
• Lights not working: Check if the LED lights are properly installed and if there's a power issue.
