1. Introduction

3. Setup and Connectivity

The Shreyans Barcode Scanner offers both wireless (2.4G RF) and wired (USB) connectivity options. No driver installation is required for either mode.

3.1 Wireless USB Connection

1. Scan Pairing QR Code: Locate the "Pairing Receiver" QR code in the manual or on the provided setup sheet. Scan this QR code with the barcode scanner. The LED light on top of the scanner will flash to indicate successful pairing mode.
2. Insert Receiver: Plug the 2.4G USB dongle (receiver) into an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
3. Confirmation: You will hear a sound once the connection is successfully established. If no sound is heard, repeat the steps.

The wireless transmission distance can reach up to 328 feet (100 meters) in a barrier-free environment.

3.2 Wired USB Connection

For a direct connection, simply plug the provided USB cable into the scanner and then into an available USB port on your computer or POS system. The scanner will be ready for use immediately.

4. Operating Instructions

The Shreyans Barcode Scanner is designed for fast and accurate scanning of various barcode types.

4.1 Scanning Barcodes

1. Point the scanner's light beam at the barcode you wish to scan.
2. Press the trigger button. A successful scan will typically be indicated by an audible beep and/or a visual confirmation light.
3. The scanned data will be transmitted to your connected device (computer, POS system) as if it were typed.

The scanner features a super decoding ability of 260 scans/second, capable of identifying various 1D and 2D barcodes, including:

• 1D: Codabar, Code 11, Code93, MSI, Code 128, UCC/EAN-128, Code 39, EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, ISBN, Industrial 25, Interleaved 25, Standard25, Matrix.
• 2D: QR, DataMatrix, PDF417, Aztec, Hanxin, Micro PDF417.

Note: This scanner is not compatible with Square systems.

5. Battery and Charging

6. Maintenance and Care

• Protection: The scanner is equipped with an orange anti-shock silicone protective cover, designed to prevent scratches and friction from falls up to 6.56 feet (2 meters).
• Dust Resistance: IP54 technology provides protection against dust ingress. However, avoid exposing the scanner to excessive dust or liquids.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your scanner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Scanner not connecting wirelessly:
  • Ensure the USB dongle is securely plugged into your device.
  • Re-scan the "Pairing Receiver" QR code as described in Section 3.1.
  • Check if the scanner's battery is charged.
• Scanner not reading barcodes:
  • Ensure the barcode is clean, undamaged, and well-lit.
  • Adjust the distance and angle of the scanner to the barcode.
  • Verify that the barcode type is supported by the scanner (refer to Section 4.1).
  • Check if the scanner is properly connected (wired or wireless).
• No data transmitted to computer:
  • Confirm the scanner is successfully paired or connected via USB.
  • Test the scanner with a simple text editor (like Notepad) to see if data appears.
