Setup and Installation

The THINKWARE iVolt Xtra requires a hardwiring cable for installation, which is sold separately. Ensure you have the correct hardwiring kit compatible with your vehicle and dash cam model before proceeding.

Charging the Battery Pack

The iVolt Xtra charges automatically while your vehicle's engine is running. It features a fast-charging capability:

  • Fast Charging: Fully charges in as little as 50 minutes.
  • Regular Charging: Fully charges in approximately 90 minutes.

  • Energy Saving Mode: Extends operation up to 960 hours (40 days) for prolonged parking surveillance.
