Attempting to install this part on incompatible models may result in damage to the product or the bicycle, and may void any warranty.

4. Setup and Installation

Installation should be performed by an individual with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge of electric bicycles. Ensure the bicycle is powered off and the battery is disconnected before beginning installation.

4.1 Tools Required

  • Screwdriver set (Phillips and flathead)
  • Hex key set
  • Wire cutters/strippers (if modifications are needed)
  • Electrical tape or heat shrink tubing (for secure connections)

4.2 Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Bicycle: Turn off the electric bicycle and remove the battery for safety.

  3. Mount the New Instrument: Slide the SPEDWHEL Digital Display Handle Instrument onto the handlebar. Position it comfortably for operation. Secure it with the provided clamp or screws, ensuring it is firm but not overtightened.
  4. Connect Wiring: Match the connectors from the new instrument's wiring harness to the corresponding ports on your DYU D2+ or D3+ electric bicycle's main wiring system. Ensure all connections are secure and properly seated. Refer to your bicycle's original wiring diagram if unsure.
  5. Secure Wiring: Use zip ties or electrical tape to neatly secure the wiring along the handlebar and frame, preventing interference with moving parts.
