Setup

Battery Installation

The Uten Digital Kitchen Scale requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included. If the batteries are not pre-installed or need replacement:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Place the scale on a flat, stable surface before use.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• To turn on the scale, press the ON/OFF button. The display will light up and show "0g" or "0.0oz".
• The scale does not have a manual off function. It will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Unit Conversion

The scale supports 4 units of measurement: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds and ounces (lb:oz), milliliters (ml), and fluid ounces (fl'oz).

• Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available units.
• The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Zero & Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to weigh different ingredients consecutively in the same container without removing the previous load. It resets the scale to zero after placing a container or an ingredient on it.

1. Step 1: Place an empty container or bowl on the scale.
2. Step 2: Press the ZERO/TARE button. The display will reset to "0".
3. Step 3: Add your first ingredient to the container. The scale will display its weight.
4. Step 4: To add another ingredient, press the ZERO/TARE button again to reset the display to "0", then add the next ingredient. Repeat as needed.

Alarm Timer
