1. Introduction
This user manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Donner DEP-20 Digital Piano and its accompanying adjustable keyboard bench. Please read these instructions thoroughly before operating the product and retain them for future reference.
2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all listed items are present and undamaged. Keep packaging materials for potential future transport or storage.
2.2 Digital Piano Placement
Place the digital piano on a stable, flat surface or a compatible keyboard stand. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
2.3 Adjustable Bench Assembly
The adjustable keyboard bench features a collapsible X-style frame. To set up, unfold the frame until it locks into position. Adjust the height by locating the 4-position bolt lock at the bottom of the bench. Select the desired height and secure the bolt. The high-density sponge seat provides comfort during use.

2.4 Power Connection
Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the rear of the digital piano. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
2.5 Pedal Connection
Connect the sustain pedal (and triangle pedal if included) to the designated pedal input jacks on the rear panel of the piano.
2.6 Headphone Connection
For private practice, connect 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack(s) located on the front or side of the piano. The piano features two headphone jacks for simultaneous use.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
Press the power button located on the control panel to turn the piano on or off. An indicator light will confirm the power status.
3.2 Key Features
The Donner DEP-20 features 88 full-sized hammer action keys with adjustable touch response, providing a realistic playing experience. The keys are designed to feel like a traditional acoustic piano.

3.3 Selecting Tones and Voices
The piano offers 238 different tones, including various instruments like ukulele, drums, bass, violin, guitar, and saxophone. Use the tone selection buttons on the control panel to browse and select your desired instrument voice. The 128-note max polyphony ensures clear sound even with complex chords and sustained notes.

3.4 Dual-Tone Mode
Activate the dual-tone mode to layer two different instrument voices simultaneously, such as piano and drums, for enhanced musical expression.
3.5 Metronome and Rhythm
Utilize the built-in metronome for timing practice. The control panel also provides access to various rhythm patterns to accompany your playing.
3.6 Recording and Playback
The piano includes recording functionality, allowing you to capture your performances. Use the playback controls to listen to your recorded tracks.
3.7 MP3 Player
The integrated MP3 player allows you to play along with your favorite songs or backing tracks.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Wipe the surface of the piano and bench with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish. For keys, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
4.2 Storage
When not in use, store the digital piano in a dry, temperate environment away from direct sunlight or extreme temperature fluctuations. The keyboard bench can be folded for compact storage.
4.3 Tuning
As an electronic instrument, the Donner DEP-20 Digital Piano does not require traditional tuning. Its pitch remains stable, eliminating the need for periodic adjustments.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Sound
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the piano is turned on.
- Check the master volume level.
- If headphones are connected, ensure they are fully plugged in and functioning correctly. Disconnect headphones to check speaker output.
5.2 Keys Not Responding
- Verify the piano is powered on.
- If specific keys are unresponsive, gently clean around the keys to remove any debris.
5.3 Distorted Sound
- Check all audio connections for proper seating.
- Reduce the master volume to prevent clipping or distortion.
