Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Smart Weigh Gray Digital Kitchen Scale. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new kitchen scale. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure accurate measurements and prolong the life of your device.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

  • Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
  • Place the scale on a flat, stable, and level surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.
  • Keep the scale away from strong electromagnetic fields, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight.

2. Battery Installation

The Smart Weigh Digital Kitchen Scale requires two (2) AAA batteries, which are included.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • To turn on the scale, press the TARE button. The display will illuminate and show "0".
  • The scale features an automatic shut-off function. If the scale is not used for approximately 120 seconds, or if the weight on the platform remains unchanged, it will automatically turn off to conserve battery life.

2. Unit Conversion

The scale can measure in multiple units.

  • Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: grams (g), ounces (oz), milliliters (mL), kilograms (kg), and pounds and ounces (lbs:oz).
  • Select the desired unit before or during weighing.

3. Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, enabling you to measure only the contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0".
  3. Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

4. Weighing Items

  • Ensure the scale is on a flat surface and powered on, displaying "0".
  • Place the item(s) to be weighed directly onto the center of the weighing platform, or use a container with the tare function.
  • The weight will be displayed on the backlit LCD screen.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • To clean the scale, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaning agents, as this can damage the electronic components.
  • Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.

2. Storage

  • Store the scale in a cool, dry place.
  • Its compact design allows for easy storage in drawers or cabinets.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.

Troubleshooting
