1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the AMZCHEF Induction Cooktop. Retain this manual for future reference. Incorrect installation or use can cause personal injury or property damage. Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the cooktop is correctly installed by a qualified person and connected to an appropriate power supply (240 Volt, 7400 Watt). Do not use adapters or extension cords.
  • Cookware: Only use magnetic cookware suitable for induction cooking (iron, cast iron, enameled iron, or stainless steel with a magnetic base). Non-magnetic cookware will not heat.
  • Heat and Burns: The cooktop surface may remain hot after use. Exercise caution. Do not touch hot surfaces.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the cooktop during operation and while it is cooling. Use the Child Lock function to prevent accidental activation.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the cooktop as specified in the installation instructions. Blocked vents can lead to overheating.
  • Magnetic Fields: Individuals with pacemakers or similar medical implants should consult their doctor before using an induction cooktop due to potential interference with magnetic fields.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply before cleaning. Use a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaners.

2. Installation Instructions

The AMZCHEF Induction Cooktop is designed for built-in installation. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is highly recommended to ensure safety and proper functionality.

2.1 Dimensions and Cut-out

Ensure your countertop cut-out meets the specified dimensions for the cooktop. The overall product dimensions are 77 cm (Depth) x 52 cm (Width) x 6 cm (Height).

2.2 Electrical Wiring

The cooktop requires a 5-wire cable connection to your home power supply. Refer to the wiring diagram provided in the product packaging and consult a qualified electrician for correct installation. Incorrect wiring can lead to electrical hazards and damage to the appliance.

3. Operating Instructions

The AMZCHEF Induction Cooktop features intuitive touch controls for easy operation.

3.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on, touch the power symbol (I). The display will light up.
  • To turn off, touch the power symbol again.

3.2 Selecting a Cooking Zone and Adjusting Power

The cooktop has 5 cooking zones. Each zone can be controlled independently.

  • Place suitable cookware on the desired cooking zone.
  • Select the zone by touching its corresponding control.
  • Adjust the power level from 1 to 9 using the sliding touch control. Slide your finger along the scale or tap directly on the desired level.
  • Booster Function: For rapid heating, activate the booster function (B) for a selected zone. This delivers additional power for a short period, ideal for boiling water quickly.

3.3 Timer Function

The multifunction timer allows you to set a cooking duration for individual zones or as a general minute minder.

  • Select the desired cooking zone.
  • Touch the timer symbol.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired time (up to 99 minutes). The zone will automatically switch off when the timer expires.

3.4 Pause (STOP+GO) Function

The STOP+GO function allows you to pause all active cooking zones and resume them with the same settings.

  • Touch the pause symbol (II) to pause all active zones.
  • Touch the pause symbol again to resume cooking with the previous settings.

3.5 Keep Warm Function

This function maintains food at a stable, warm temperature after cooking.

  • Select the desired cooking zone.
  • Touch the 'Keep Warm' symbol (often represented by a wavy line icon).

3.6 Child Lock

Activate the child lock to prevent accidental operation or changes to settings.

  • To activate, touch and hold the lock symbol for 3 seconds. The lock indicator will illuminate.
  • To deactivate, touch and hold the lock symbol again for 3 seconds.

3.7 Automatic Pan Detection

The cooktop automatically detects suitable cookware. If no pan is detected or an unsuitable pan is used, the cooktop will not activate or will switch off automatically.

3.8 Compatible Cookware

For optimal performance, use cookware with a magnetic base. Examples include:

  • Enameled iron pots
  • Cast iron pans
  • Iron pots
  • Stainless steel pots with a magnetic base

Cookware made of heat-resistant glass, copper, aluminum, or ceramic without a magnetic base is not compatible.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop.

4.1 Cleaning the Ceramic Glass Surface

The entire work surface is made of polished Vitro ceramic glass, which is easy to clean and impact-resistant.

  • Always ensure the cooktop is cool and disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent.
  • For stubborn stains, use a specialized ceramic hob cleaner.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the surface.
  • Dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water spots.
