Operating Instructions
Opening the Safe
There are three primary methods to open your GHJGAGE safe:
- Digital Keypad (Daily Use): Enter your personal code (initial password "159", remember to change it) followed by the "#" key. Once the green indicator light illuminates, turn the knob clockwise within 5 seconds to open the door.
- Emergency Key (First Time Operation / Forgotten Passcode): Insert the emergency key into the keyhole, turn it counter-clockwise, and simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the safe. This method is also used if you forget your digital passcode.
- External Battery Box (Lost Key / Dead Batteries): If the internal batteries are depleted and you cannot use the digital keypad, connect the external battery box to the designated socket on the keypad. This will power the keypad, allowing you to enter your code and open the safe.

Changing the Passcode
With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door. The yellow indicator light will illuminate. Enter your new 3-8 digit code, then press the "#" key to confirm. Test the new code with the door open before closing it.
Smart Anti-Theft System and Silent Mode
The safe is equipped with a smart anti-theft system. If an incorrect password is entered three times consecutively, the system will activate an alarm. The safe also features an optional silent mode, which can be activated for situations where quiet operation is desired, such as during nighttime access.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the batteries are low, the indicator light may flash or the keypad may not respond. Replace all four AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Always use new, high-quality batteries.
Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. Ensure the keypad and lock mechanism are kept free of dust and debris.
