5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Always disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes, as they may damage the finish.
  • Clean the glass shade with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Dry thoroughly.

5.2. Bulb Replacement

  • Ensure the fixture is turned off and unplugged (or power is disconnected at the breaker).
  • Allow the bulb to cool completely before touching.
  • Carefully remove the glass shade by unthreading the retaining ring.
  • Unscrew the old E12 bulb and replace it with a new E12 bulb (max 40W).
  • Reattach the glass shade and retaining ring.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on:
    • Check if the plug is fully inserted into the outlet (for plug-in).
    • Verify the circuit breaker is on (for hardwired).
    • Ensure the bulb is securely screwed in and not burnt out.
    • Confirm the dimmer switch is rotated past the 'off' position.
  • Light flickers or dims inconsistently:
    • Ensure you are using a dimmable E12 bulb. Non-dimmable bulbs may flicker with a dimmer switch.
    • Check the bulb connection; tighten if loose.
  • Glass shade is loose:
    • Gently tighten the retaining ring that holds the shade in place.
