3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Magnification and Eyepieces

The microscope offers a magnification range from 40X to 2500X. This is achieved by combining the magnification of the eyepieces and the objective lenses.

  • Eyepieces: The microscope is equipped with WF10X/25X/H16X glass eyepieces. These are fixed at an ergonomic 30-degree tilt to reduce neck strain and are adjustable for different interpupillary distances.
  • Objective Lenses: Four achromatic objective lenses are provided: 4X, 10X, 40X (spring-loaded), and 100X (spring-loaded, oil immersion).

3.2 7-inch LCD Screen Operation

The 7-inch LCD display provides a larger field of view directly from the screen, reducing eye strain and facilitating sharing of observations. The screen and head are 360-degree rotatable for optimal viewing angles.

  • Powering On/Off: Use the power button on the screen to turn it on or off.
  • Input Selection: Select the appropriate input (e.g., AV2) for the microscope feed.
  • Viewing: Adjust the screen's position and angle for comfortable viewing.
  • Image/Video Capture: To capture still photos or videos, a separate video capture card is required.

3.3 Constant Temperature Mechanical Stage

This microscope features an adjustable thermostat mechanical stage, allowing temperature control from 0-50°C. This is particularly useful for maintaining the vitality of live samples during observation, such as in artificial breeding or insemination research.

  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the dedicated controls to set the desired temperature for the stage.
  • Sample Placement: Place the specimen slide on the mechanical stage.
  • Precise Manipulation: The mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement along the X and Y axes, with 1.0mm stage divisions, allowing for accurate positioning and recording of specific locations on the slide.

3.4 Focusing

The microscope is equipped with separate coarse and fine focus knobs for precise focusing.

  • Coarse Focus: Use the larger coarse focus knob for initial, rapid focusing.
  • Fine Focus: Use the smaller fine focus knob for detailed, sharp focusing once the image is roughly in view.

3.5 Illumination

The microscope utilizes variable LED intensity transmitted illumination for clear examination and light control.

  • LED Light Source: The built-in LED light provides bright and adjustable illumination.
  • 1.25 NA Abbe Condenser: Features an iris diaphragm for controlling the light aperture and improving contrast.
  • Intensity Adjustment: Use the illumination control knob to adjust the brightness of the LED light according to the specimen and observation needs.
