Control Panel Features

  • MODE Button: Switches between input sources (Bluetooth, AUX, USB).
  • EQ/ECHO Button: Adjusts equalizer settings and microphone echo effect.
  • LIGHT Button: Cycles through different LED light modes and turns lights on/off.
  • SUPER BASS Button: Activates or deactivates the enhanced bass mode.

Setup

Powering the Speaker

The Sharp PS-929 can be powered by its built-in battery or directly from the AC mains supply.

  • Battery Power: The speaker has a built-in battery for portable use, offering up to 13 hours of playback. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged before portable use.
  • AC Mains Power: To charge the battery or operate the speaker directly from a power outlet, connect the supplied power cord to the AC input on the speaker and then to a wall socket. The battery will recharge while the speaker is connected to mains power.

Operating Instructions

Bluetooth Pairing

Connect your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to the PS-929 for wireless audio streaming.

  1. Turn on the PS-929 speaker.
  2. Press the MODE button until "BT" appears on the display, indicating Bluetooth mode. The speaker will enter pairing mode automatically.
  3. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for "PS-929" in the list of available devices.
  4. Select "PS-929" to pair. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation.

Using AUX and USB Inputs

  • AUX Input: Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the 3.5mm AUX input using an audio cable. Press the MODE button to select AUX mode.
  • USB Input: Insert a USB flash drive containing audio files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback. The USB port also functions as a charging port for external devices.

Microphone and Guitar Input

The PS-929 supports direct connection of a microphone and a guitar for karaoke or live performances.

  • Connect your microphone or guitar to the respective 6.3mm input jacks.
  • Adjust the volume using the MIC/GUITAR VOL knob.
  • Use the EQ/ECHO button to add an echo effect to the microphone.

Super Bass Function

Enhance the low-frequency sound for a more impactful audio experience.

  • Press the SUPER BASS button to activate the Super Bass effect. The button will illuminate.
  • Press it again to deactivate the effect.

Disco Lights

The PS-929 features multi-colored LED lights and a bright strobe flash that synchronize with the music, creating a party atmosphere.

  • Press the LIGHT button to cycle through different light modes.
  • Continue pressing to turn the lights off.

True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Mode

Pair two PS-929 units together to create a true wireless stereo sound stage for a more immersive audio experience.

  1. Ensure both PS-929 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button (refer to the product diagram for exact location, usually near the mode button) for a few seconds until you hear a pairing tone.
  3. The primary speaker will automatically search for and connect to the second speaker. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the speakers will function as a stereo pair.
  4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity of your Sharp PS-929 speaker.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the battery regularly, even if the speaker is not in use.
