3. Setup

  1. Install Batteries: The REDRAGON M691 MIST requires two (2) AAA batteries. Open the battery compartment located on the underside of the mouse. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  2. Connect USB Receiver: Locate the USB wireless receiver, typically stored within a slot on the underside of the mouse. Remove it and plug it into an available USB port on your computer (Laptop or Personal Computer).
  3. Power On: Flip the power switch, usually located on the underside of the mouse, to the "ON" position. The mouse should now be powered on and attempt to connect to the receiver.
  4. Driver Installation (Plug & Play): The mouse is designed for plug-and-play functionality. Your operating system (e.g., Windows) should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. No additional software installation is typically required for basic functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Functions

  • Left Click: Primary action, selection.
  • Right Click: Context menu, secondary action.
  • Scroll Wheel: Scroll up/down pages. Can also function as a middle click button.

4.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse features a 4,800 DPI optical sensor. There is typically a dedicated button (often located behind the scroll wheel) to cycle through different DPI settings. Press this button to adjust cursor sensitivity to your preference. Higher DPI settings result in faster cursor movement across the screen.

4.3 Side Buttons and Rapid Fire Button

The M691 MIST includes three side buttons, one of which is designated as a rapid fire button. These buttons are generally pre-programmed for common functions (e.g., forward/back in web browsers, rapid click). For advanced customization or remapping of these buttons, specific software from Redragon may be required. Please note that software availability can vary by model and operating system. Refer to the official Redragon website for potential software downloads or compatibility information.

4.4 Wireless Connectivity

Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your computer and the mouse is within a reasonable range (typically up to 10 meters) for optimal wireless performance. Avoid placing the receiver near sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the mouse. For the optical sensor, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol, ensuring no liquid enters the mouse body. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the mouse performance degrades or it stops responding. Always use fresh AAA batteries.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, turn off the mouse using the power switch to conserve battery life. Store the USB receiver in its designated slot on the mouse to prevent loss.

6. Troubleshooting
