1. Introduction

The Thermacell Portable Mosquito Repeller MR450 creates a 15-foot zone of protection against mosquitoes, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors without bothersome bites. 2. Components

Your Thermacell MR450 package includes the following items:

Note: A CR2032 battery is required for the ZoneCheck feature (visual indicator) but is not included.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your Thermacell Repeller for use:

1. Insert Repellent Mat: Remove one repellent mat from its packaging. Slide the mat into the opening at the top of the repeller, beneath the grill.
2. Twist in Fuel Cartridge: Remove the cap from the fuel cartridge. Insert the fuel cartridge into the opening at the bottom of the repeller and twist clockwise until it is fully seated.

4. Operating Instructions

To activate the mosquito protection zone:

1. Turn ON: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
2. Push START: Press the 'START' button 2-3 times quickly. You should hear a clicking sound.
3. Verify Operation: Look into the small window on the top of the repeller. An orange glow indicates the repeller is working. The ZoneCheck feature will also illuminate when the zone of protection is created.
4. Placement: For optimal protection, place the repeller in the center of the area you wish to protect. The full 15-foot zone of protection will be established within 10-15 minutes.

5. Maintenance

To ensure continuous mosquito protection, regular maintenance is required:

• Repellent Mat Replacement: Each mat provides up to 4 hours of protection. The mat will turn white when it is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
• Fuel Cartridge Replacement: A 12-hour fuel cartridge is included. If the repeller won't stay on or the orange glow is not visible, the fuel cartridge may be empty and needs replacement.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Thermacell Repeller, consider the following:

• Repeller Not Staying On: Ensure the fuel cartridge is not empty. Replace if necessary.
• Reduced Effectiveness in Wind: In windy conditions, place the repeller upwind of your desired protection area to allow the repellent to drift over the zone.
• Protecting Larger Areas: For areas larger than 15 feet, consider using multiple Thermacell repellers spaced appropriately to create overlapping zones of protection.
