- Install Spigot: Attach the metal spigot to the lower chamber. Ensure all washers and nuts are correctly positioned and tightened to prevent leaks.
- Prepare Filters: Before first use, the black carbon filters must be primed. Attach the priming washer to a faucet and flush water through each filter for 60 seconds until water runs clear.
- Install Filters: Insert the primed black carbon filters into the holes in the base of the upper chamber. Secure them with the provided wing nuts.
- Assemble Chambers: Place the upper chamber onto the lower chamber.
- Initial Fill: Pour water into the upper chamber. The water will slowly filter into the lower chamber. Discard the first batch of filtered water to ensure any manufacturing residues are flushed out.

- Filter Lifespan: The two black carbon filters can effectively filter up to 6,000 gallons of water. If using optional fluoride filters, they can filter up to 1,000 gallons. Replace filters according to their lifespan or when flow rate significantly decreases.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the stainless steel chambers with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Filter Priming: Re-prime filters if they have dried out or if the system has been stored for an extended period.
