4. Setup
- Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
- Battery Activation: The scale comes with 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries pre-installed. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and remove the plastic insulation strip to activate the batteries.
- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets, rugs, or uneven flooring, as this can affect accuracy.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Measuring Body Weight
- Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
- Step directly onto the scale. The scale will automatically turn on.
- Stand still on the scale. Your weight will be displayed and locked on the screen.
- The scale features a "Weight Verification" function to ensure accuracy. After your weight is displayed, step off the scale. An orange icon will appear, indicating the initial weight is under verification. Once a green icon appears, your weight is verified and is accurate.

5.2. Measuring Light Items
The scale can measure items as light as 100 grams (approximately 0.22 lb).
- First, apply some weight to the scale (e.g., step on it briefly with one foot) until "0.0" is displayed.
- Place the light item (e.g., a pet or a package) onto the center of the scale.
- The weight will be displayed. Note that the verification icons (orange/green) may not light up for very light items.

5.3. Unit Conversion
The scale supports three units of measurement: pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), and stones (st).
- Locate the "UNIT" button on the underside of the scale, near the battery compartment.
- Press the button to cycle through the available units (lb/kg/st) until your desired unit is displayed on the screen.
