1. Product Overview

The PETKIT PuraMax is an automatic self-cleaning litter box designed to simplify cat waste management. It features an integrated N50 odor eliminator, advanced safety sensors, and smart app control for monitoring and customization.

Note: K3 air purifier spray and litter mat are not included with this version. This version does not support the K3 air purifier spray.

2. Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Placement: Place the PuraMax on a flat, stable floor surface. Important: Do not place the device on carpets or mats, as this may interfere with the internal sensors and cause malfunctions. Ensure the entrance to the cat litter tray is not blocked.
3. Install Odor Eliminator: Insert the N50 Odor Eliminator into its designated compartment.
4. Add Litter: Fill the litter compartment with an appropriate amount of cat litter. The PuraMax is compatible with clay, tofu, and mixed litter types.
5. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the device and then into a wall outlet.
6. Download PETKIT App: Download the official PETKIT app from your smartphone's app store.
7. Connect to Wi-Fi: Open the PETKIT app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the PuraMax to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Applicable Cat Weight Range: 3.3 lbs to 17.6 lbs. Do not use for young pets under 6 months of age.

3. Operating Instructions

Safety Features (xSecure System):

The PuraMax incorporates an xSecure system with multiple sensors to ensure your cat's safety:

• Infrared Sensor: Detects cat presence.
• Weight Sensors (4): Monitors cat weight and presence.
• Hall Effect Sensors (6): Ensures precise component positioning.
• Proximity Sensor (1): Detects when a cat approaches the device.

The device automatically pauses operation if a cat approaches or is detected inside the litter box, or if a weight change is detected during a cleaning cycle.

Smart App Control:

The PETKIT app allows you to manage and monitor the PuraMax remotely:

• Manual/Automatic Modes: Choose between manual cleaning or set up automatic cleaning schedules.
• Health Monitoring: Track your cat's weight, usage times, and duration of use. The app can differentiate between multiple cats based on weight.
• Customize Cleaning Cycle: Adjust cleaning intervals and settings.
• Working Status Reminder: Receive notifications about the device's status.

Odor Control:

The PuraMax features an N50 odor eliminator that locks and decomposes odors in the waste. The waste bin cover also includes a silicone seal to prevent odor spread.

4. Maintenance

Regular Cleaning:

• Waste Container: The extra-large waste container can hold waste for up to 15 days for one cat. Empty and replace the waste bag as needed.
• Cylinder Mat: The cylinder mat is scratch-proof, waterproof, anti-stick, and easy to clean. It features a leak-proof edge and can be quickly removed and reinstalled for cleaning.
• Sensors: Periodically inspect and clean the cat presence sensor located near the entrance, as debris can accumulate and affect its functionality.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the device with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

Odor Eliminator Replacement:

The N50 Odor Eliminator should be replaced periodically to maintain optimal odor control. Refer to the PETKIT app or product packaging for recommended replacement intervals.

5. Troubleshooting

• Device Not Operating:
  • Ensure the device is placed on a flat, stable surface, not on carpets or mats.
  • Check if the power adapter is securely connected.
  • Verify no cat is currently inside or approaching the litter box, as safety sensors will pause operation.
• "In Use" Error / Device Not Cleaning:
  • Clean the cat presence sensor located near the entrance. Debris or litter dust can obstruct the sensor, causing false readings.
  • Ensure no objects are obstructing the litter box entrance or the internal components.
  • If a clump of litter is stuck in the robot arm, carefully remove it after ensuring the device is powered off.
• App Connectivity Issues:
  • Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the PuraMax during setup.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and the PuraMax device.
• Odor Persistence:
  • Check if the N50 Odor Eliminator needs replacement.
  • Ensure the waste bag is properly sealed and replaced regularly.
  • Verify the waste bin cover is securely closed.
