6.2 Needle Replacement
Replace needles frequently (after every 8-10 hours of sewing or when they become dull/bent) to prevent skipped stitches and fabric damage. Refer to section 4.5 for instructions.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Skipped Stitches | Incorrect needle insertion, bent needle, wrong needle type for fabric, improper threading. | Re-insert needle correctly, replace needle, use appropriate needle, re-thread machine. |
| Thread Breaking | Incorrect upper thread tension, poor quality thread, needle bent or dull, improper threading, bobbin wound too tightly/loosely. | Adjust tension, use good quality thread, replace needle, re-thread machine, re-wind bobbin. |
| Fabric Puckering | Stitch length too long for fabric, incorrect thread tension, wrong presser foot pressure. | Shorten stitch length, adjust thread tension, adjust presser foot pressure (if available). |
| Machine Not Feeding Fabric | Feed dogs lowered, lint accumulation, incorrect presser foot. | Raise feed dogs, clean feed dog area, use correct presser foot. |
| No Power | Machine unplugged, power switch off, faulty power cord/outlet. | Check power connections, ensure switch is on, test outlet with another device. |
