1. Product Overview

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Contents

2.2 Battery Installation

The TecTecTec ULT-X Rangefinder uses one CR2 battery. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or side of the device. Insert the CR2 battery, ensuring correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment. Close the compartment securely.

2.3 Adjusting Focus

To ensure a clear view, adjust the eyepiece by rotating it until the display and target appear sharp. This adjustment is smooth and allows for precise focusing for individual users.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On and Off

Press the power button (usually located on the top) to turn on the device. The display will illuminate. The device typically powers off automatically after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

3.2 Measurement Modes

The ULT-X offers three primary measurement modes:

• Mode 1 (M1) - Normal/Scan Mode: This mode provides standard distance measurement. By holding down the power button, the device enters continuous scan mode, constantly updating distances as you pan across targets. This is useful for quickly getting distances to multiple objects.
• Mode 2 (M2) - Flag Seeker Mode: Indicated by a small flag icon on the display, this mode is optimized for golf. It prioritizes the closest object in the field of view, making it easier to lock onto the flagstick even with trees or other objects in the background. Upon successful flag lock, the device provides a short vibration alert.
• Mode 3 (M3) - Slope Mode: This mode provides a slope-adjusted distance, which accounts for changes in elevation between your position and the target. To engage Slope Mode, pull out the yellow ring located near the optical lenses. The display will show both the actual distance and the slope-adjusted distance. This feature is particularly useful for golfers to get a more accurate 'play as' distance.

3.3 Measurement Accuracy and Range

4. Maintenance

• Water Resistance: The device is waterproof. However, avoid prolonged submersion or exposing the battery compartment to water.
