Redragon K631 PRO SE 65% 3-Mode Wireless RGB Gaming Keyboard

Introduction

The Redragon K631 PRO SE is a compact 65% mechanical gaming keyboard designed for versatility and performance. It features innovative tri-mode connectivity (USB-C wired, BT 3.0/5.0, and 2.4Ghz wireless) for seamless integration across various devices. The keyboard boasts true hot-swappable sockets, allowing for easy customization of switches, and vibrant RGB backlighting with multiple preset modes and music sync capabilities.

Upon unboxing your Redragon K631 PRO SE keyboard, you will find the following items:

Setup and Connectivity

The Redragon K631 PRO SE offers three versatile connection modes:

1. Wired Connection (USB-C)

For a stable and lag-free connection, use the provided USB-C cable. Simply plug the USB-C end into the keyboard and the USB-A end into your computer's USB port. The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.

2. 2.4Ghz Wireless Connection

For wireless freedom with minimal latency, utilize the 2.4Ghz dongle. The dongle is typically stored in a compartment on the underside of the keyboard. Locate the 2.4G/OFF/BT switch on the left side of the keyboard and slide it to the "2.4G" position. Insert the USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will connect automatically.

3. Bluetooth Connection (BT 3.0/5.0)

The keyboard supports up to three Bluetooth devices. To connect via Bluetooth:

1. Slide the 2.4G/OFF/BT switch on the left side of the keyboard to the "BT" position.
2. Press and hold FN + BT1 (or BT2 / BT3) for about 3 seconds. The corresponding key will flash, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), turn on Bluetooth and scan for available devices.
4. Select "BT3.0Keyboard" or "BT5.0 KB" (or similar name) from the list.
5. Once connected, the flashing light on the keyboard will become solid.

To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, simply press FN + BT1 / BT2 / BT3.

Operating Instructions

Function Key (FN) Combinations

The FN key unlocks a variety of secondary functions and multimedia controls. Look for the icons printed on the keycaps to identify these functions.

• FN + F1-F12: Access multimedia controls (e.g., play/pause, volume up/down, mute, previous/next track).
• FN + Alt: Check the current battery level of the keyboard.
• FN + N: Cycle through different RGB backlight modes.
• FN + M: Switch between dynamic RGB and static color modes.
• FN + Tab: Set backlight to full white.
• FN + Arrow Keys: Adjust RGB brightness and speed.
• FN + Print Screen: Turn RGB backlight On/Off.

RGB Backlight Customization

The K631 PRO SE features vibrant RGB backlighting with 20 preset modes. You can adjust brightness and flowing speed directly on the keyboard. A marvelous music sync mode is also available to enhance your gaming or work environment.

For advanced customization, including creating your own lighting modes and effects, the dedicated Redragon software is available. This software also allows for macro programming and reassigning keybindings for enhanced efficiency in work and gaming.

Maintenance and Customization

Hot-Swappable Switches

The K631 PRO SE features true hot-swappable sockets, compatible with over 99.8% of 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches on the market. This allows you to easily change switches without soldering, enabling full customization of your typing experience.

To remove a switch, use the provided switch puller. Gently press the puller onto the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull upwards. To install a new switch, align its pins with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Keycap Replacement

The keyboard comes with durable mixed-color keycaps. You can replace them with any Cherry MX-compatible keycaps. Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove keycaps by hooking the wires under the keycap and pulling straight up.

Cleaning

To clean the keyboard, first disconnect it from your device. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, you can remove the keycaps and wipe them with a damp cloth. Ensure all components are dry before reassembling and reconnecting the keyboard.

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues

• Wireless (2.4Ghz/Bluetooth) Disconnection: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Try re-pairing the device by following the setup instructions. For Bluetooth, you may need to "forget" the device on your computer/phone and then re-pair.
• Lag or Input Delay: For critical tasks like gaming, wired mode is recommended. Ensure there are no strong wireless interferences in your environment.

Backlight Issues

• Lights Not Working: Check if the backlight is turned off (FN + Print Screen). Ensure brightness is not set to minimum.
• Inconsistent Lighting: If you've replaced switches, ensure transparent switches are used for optimal light pass-through.

Factory Reset

If you encounter persistent issues or wish to revert all settings to default, perform a factory reset:

• Press and hold FN + Esc for approximately 3 seconds. The keyboard lights will flash to indicate a successful reset.
