This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, setup, operation, and maintenance of your ERAY Smart Fingerprint Door Lock (Model E196). This keyless entry door knob lock set offers multiple unlocking methods for enhanced security and convenience in your home, office, or apartment.

The ERAY Smart Fingerprint Door Lock is designed for interior doors with a thickness ranging from 1-3/8'' to 2-1/8'' (35-50mm). It features a durable zinc alloy and ABS plastic casing.

Installation Guide

Installation is straightforward and can be completed with a screwdriver. Ensure your door thickness is between 1-3/8'' to 2-1/8'' (35-50mm).

1. Prepare the Door and Latch:

Ensure the door is prepared with the correct bore holes. The latch is adjustable for 60mm (2-3/8") or 70mm (2-3/4") backsets. Adjust the latch as needed before installation. The latch's square hole should be horizontal.

2. Install the Handles:

The door handle is reversible and suitable for both left and right-handed doors. Follow the steps in the video for proper assembly and connection of the front and back panels.

Setup and Programming

After installation, you will need to program your lock with fingerprints and passcodes.

1. Fingerprint Enrollment:

The enlarged fingerprint area allows for easier reading. The lock can store up to 50 unique fingerprints. Refer to the product's specific programming instructions for adding new fingerprints.

2. Passcode Setup:

You can set up to 100 passcodes. The anti-peeping passcode feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.

Operating Instructions

The ERAY Smart Fingerprint Door Lock offers three methods for unlocking:

• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor.
• Passcode: Enter your programmed passcode on the keypad.
• Mechanical Key: Use one of the provided mechanical keys as a traditional backup.

The lock features an auto-lock function, securing the door automatically after 5 seconds of closing.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

The lock is powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included). When the battery is low, the lock will provide a low battery indicator. To replace, open the battery compartment on the inside handle and insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

Emergency Power Supply:

In case the batteries completely drain, a micro-USB port is available for emergency power. Connect a power bank to this port to temporarily power the lock and gain entry.

Cleaning:

Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

Troubleshooting

• Fingerprint sensor not responding: If the fingerprint sensor stops working, try disconnecting and reconnecting the internal cable (refer to installation steps) or replacing the batteries.
• Lock not engaging/disengaging: Ensure all internal cables are securely connected and that the latch mechanism is properly aligned and installed horizontally.
• Keypad unresponsive: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, replace them or use the emergency USB power.
• Performance in cold weather: Note that extreme cold temperatures may affect the performance of the fingerprint reader.
