5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Herfair 6-in-1 Docking Station:

1. Placement: Place the docking station on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate space for cable connections and ventilation.
2. Connect Power: Connect a compatible USB-C power adapter (not included) to the 100W USB-C PD charging port on the docking station.
3. Connect to Display (Optional): For external display output, connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI 2.0 port on the docking station to your monitor, TV, or projector. Ensure your display supports 4K@60Hz for optimal performance.
4. Connect to Network (Optional): For a wired internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable (not included) from your router or modem to the Gigabit Ethernet port on the docking station.
5. Connect Peripherals (Optional): Connect USB devices such as keyboards, mice, or external storage to the three USB 3.0 ports.
6. Dock Your Device: Carefully align your Steam Deck, Steam Deck OLED, or ROG Ally with the angled USB-C connector on the docking station and gently insert it until it is securely seated.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the docking station is set up, you can begin using its features:

• Charging: Your Steam Deck or ROG Ally will begin charging automatically when docked and the power adapter is connected to the PD port. The docking station supports up to 100W power delivery, ensuring efficient charging.
• Video Output: If an external display is connected via HDMI, your device's display will extend or mirror to the external screen. Adjust display settings on your Steam Deck or ROG Ally as needed for resolution and refresh rate. The dock supports 4K@60Hz.
• Network Connectivity: The Gigabit Ethernet port provides a stable and fast wired internet connection. This is ideal for large game downloads or online multiplayer gaming where low latency is crucial.
• USB Peripherals: Connected USB 3.0 devices will be recognized by your Steam Deck or ROG Ally. You can use external keyboards, mice, game controllers, or transfer data to/from USB storage devices at speeds up to 5Gbps.
