5.2 Wiring

Refer to the wiring diagram on the device and the figures below for correct connections. Use appropriate wire gauges for your application.

  1. Connect the live (L) and neutral (N) wires from your power supply to the corresponding input terminals on the relay.
  2. Connect the load (e.g., street light, motor) to the output terminals (1 and 2). Terminal 1 is typically the switched live output, and terminal 2 is the common neutral or the other side of the load.
  3. Ensure all screw terminals are tightened securely to prevent loose connections.

6. Operating Instructions

The TM610C allows for both automatic programmed control and manual override.

6.1 Setting the Time

  1. Rotate the central dial to align the current time with the arrow indicator. The dial represents a 24-hour cycle.

6.2 Programming ON/OFF Cycles

The timer uses small segments around the dial, each representing 15 minutes. To program an ON period, push the corresponding segments outwards. To program an OFF period, leave the segments pushed inwards.

  1. Identify the desired ON and OFF times on the 24-hour dial.
  2. For each period you want the device to be ON, push the corresponding 15-minute segments outwards.
  3. For each period you want the device to be OFF, ensure the corresponding 15-minute segments are pushed inwards.
  4. The minimum setting interval is 15 minutes.

6.3 Manual Override Switch

The TM610C features a manual override switch, typically labeled with symbols like a clock (for automatic mode) and 'I' (for permanent ON). This allows you to temporarily or permanently override the programmed schedule.

  • Clock Symbol (Program Auto Control): The device operates according to the set program.
  • 'I' Symbol (Permanent Control ON): The device remains continuously ON, overriding any programmed OFF periods.

To switch between modes, slide the manual override switch to the desired position.

7. Maintenance

The Akozon TM610C is designed for long-term, reliable operation with minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the device with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Regularly check wiring connections to ensure they remain secure. Inspect for any signs of damage or overheating.
  • Power Backup: The device has a backup power of 100 hours to maintain time settings during power outages. No user maintenance is required for this feature.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TM610C timing relay, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Device not turning ON/OFF as programmed:
    • Check if the manual override switch is set to 'Program Auto Control' (clock symbol).
    • Verify that the time on the dial is correctly set to the current time.
    • Ensure the ON/OFF segments are correctly pushed in/out for the desired schedule.
    • Check all wiring connections for looseness or incorrect placement.
  • Device not receiving power:
    • Confirm that the main power supply to the circuit is active.
    • Check the input wiring (L and N terminals) for secure connections.
  • Timer dial not moving:
    • Ensure the device is receiving power.
    • If power is present and the dial is still not moving, the internal mechanism may be faulty.

If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
